IGyro 3E installation and setup, How to do it??
#27
I was actually wondering about that too. I had to go read the manual on both the Pioneer and the 3E. The direction recommend to plug the servos into the iGyro, then to whatever is next. I have 5 Mercury SRS and a Competition SR2 with iSat gyro. I’ve used and help setup the 3E. I haven’t owned a Pioneer, because I always have needed the regulator and gear sequencer.
But, That question is an Adam question.

Hi There.....installed a igyro extra in my spektrum system with an NX10 transmitter.....when I put the gain on the Knob the gyro is not active until the knob is at about 50%.
Does anyone know how to fix this so I have the full range on the knob ?

So the gyro has a normal dampening mode which is 0 to 100 % on the knob and a Altitude assist mode which is 0 to -100. So I need to be able to switch it off....finding the zero spot on the knob is pretty hard so I want a switch on my NX10.

So put it on a 3 way switch, Attitude Assist works best on ailerons, so i would configure that and normal mode on elevator and rudder then use a negative gain number.
Set the end point on your switch so that the center is off and either direction is whatever gain number you want, say 35 for example so 35-0-35 or -35 0 35 whatever your radio does, I don't fly spektrum but the further you are from center (0 or maybe even 50, but whatever is centered on the servo monitor) the higher the gain and one direction from center will be attitude (not altitude) assist and the other direction from center will be normal mode. You can tell by picking up a wing tip and if the aileron corrects then centers its in normal and if it corrects and holds the correction until you level the wing its in attitude assist.

Thank you for your response.....The process you outlined is exactly where I want to end up......I was hoping to program a switch into the knob so I could easily shut it off and not try to find the zero point using the knob while flying the plane while dialing it in.
