SWB Mamba

So some guys object to a start up flame, let them get a life !!! Every time I saw the glow of start up flame (They ALWAYS torched a little) on an Olympus 593 on a Concorde it was one of the greatest thrills in aviation, apart , of course, from reaching Mach 1 and then Mach 2 !
Yes, the Jetcat, like the Olympus 593, is a superb engine. If the in service performance of the Mamba is as good as the excellence of its construction it will be a superb power plant

I understand that the Mamba needs very little air to get started. Here is a thought, How bout using a high volume 12 volt compressor running from my gell cell for starting. No air tank. Just direct connection from the compressor to the turbine. If this is feasible I may be in a market for a couple units.
Please let me know.

Air Start engines rule.......................you can't break air!!!.....You can break wind........but lets not get into that.
Perry you crack me up. That's as much wisdom I have read on this on this site in a while.
P.S. I'm with you on this one. I just try to keep my tank as full as possible so to be lite as possible. :bananahea
