Anyone have any experience with this? I got it as part of a supreme Regal Eagle kit I bought and cant find info about his fan. It looks like a tractor setup like a dynamax/ramtec. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

I know a guy who tried to use that fan in one of the BP Sabres. It was 100% completely useless and not even heavy enough to use as a boat anchor. Do yourself a favor, throw it in the woods immediately and buy a Ramtec/Dynamax....at least then your odds of success will possitive.

dont confuse the quick-build fan with the vector fan.!!
the bob parkinson quick-build ( plastic) f-86, cheetha and jaguar( i got the jaguar) use a clear plastic fan body , with a wood angine mount , no stator blades and a dynamax impeller. it stick to the fuse sides with a plastic mounts. if you have one of this ! dooont use it ! but if you have a vector fan , that is a more convencional desing with plastic engine mount that hodls a small tank behind the engine and has stator blades you can use only because you already have it , and you can save some noney. if you have to buy one ,for grass field use a byro-jet for others use the dynamax. . the reagel eagle can use it both
luck! alfred

Peco,
That is an excellent Idea. Thanks for the info!!
After looking up the dynamax fan on JMP's website, the unit I have is different....mine only has 9 blades where the dynamax has 11. What the hell do I have LOL.. Oh well, thanks for the info anyway.

Sounds like you have the BP Vector fan. Does it look like 9 cut off master airscrew blades riveted together? You can't use that with a Dynamax fan. You will need to buy a complete fan system.

Yup...looks like the 9 blades were cut. Yea, im looking for someone with a Ramtec that he wont need anymore and is willing to sell for cheap
Thanks for the replies guys. I guess nobody had any luck with this makeshift fan unit then. I can see how a slight missalignment would prove fatal with it. Thanks again.

yep, throw that POS away. there were two versions, a 9 blade and an 11 blade. made with grish tornado props cut down. mine produced good thrust on some days at certain moments, but not enough to fly. I now have a dynamax fan and a yellow aircraft F18 single exhaust thrust tube in it. works and fits great.
