Neck Strap or not?

Having seen the Thumbs or Claws post i though this would compliment it.
How many of us Jet pilots use a neck strap?
I find them invaluable, especially now with flaps, air-brakes, bomb drops, parachutes....etc.
How about you?

Spot on, exactly right. It was a revelation the day i started using a strap.
Tried a tray for a while, it was good but a bit unnecessary with todays well balanced tx's

I just started useing the strap about a year ago after 25 years without it. I also fly thumbs only-have never been able to do the fingers and thumbs bit. It has been a tough transition but I think it is well worth it. I still find myself lifting up the transmitter against the strap and have to force myself to let the strap do the work. Scott

When i started flying turbines in `96 i started using a neck strap and tray. The try is the same width as the tx case so i can still fly with thumbs. The try has come in handy when i have a bug or something in my eye etc. You can let go of the throttle hand (mode 2 of course) and still have good control of the jet because the box stays very steady.

Some interesting comments here.
The Bug one is very true, has happened to me.
What we really want is a tray with an ashtray and cup holder!!

Here in Norway many of us use the tray harness from Graupner.
Specially when flying gliders for a long periode at a time u take a lot of stress of your neck and back.
When flying with this config i feel more relaxed and believe i have more precise handling. I use the MC24 from Graupner.
