Default Viperjet throws and mixes?

Now that my retract valve problem is solved, I'm programming my 10X and hoping to maybe get a test flight in on Sunday.....

Can anyone suggest control throws (hi/low rate), aileron differential (if any), rudder/elevator/ail. compensation (i.e. anti-roll/yaw/pitch coupling), and flap/elevator compensation mix %'s, from experience? Just prefer to have a decent starting point to keep the test flight drama to a minimum.

Thanks!

Barry

Gee Larry, forget to take your lithium today? Thanks for very helpful answer. [:@] (back at ya)

Notice that I asked for this infor BASED ON EXPERIENCE, not on the FM.

The manual does not list anything other than basic throws - I asked for dual rate settings, differential, roll/yaw/pitch couple offset mixes... all of which are not listed in the FM.

Anyone else care to help, or should I just go back and RTFM?

Thanks -

Barry

Hi Barry:

I will give you the throws on my viper jet which has had about 45 flights on it by now.

Get as much as you can on the elev, then add 25% expo. The dual rates should be at 80% and 65% of full travel with 15% expo each. I find that I always use full rate.

The Ailerons are the same as above. BUT, fly it with the middle rate (80%) first then go from there.

The Rudder, all you can get w/o binding, again add 25% expo.

The flaps, all you can get for full flaps and 50% of that for take off flaps or 15 to 18 degrees.

Speed brake, I put that on Aux2 switch and go 50% on the middle and 100% in the 2nd position of the switch.

On very windy days, 20+ mph, DONOT use the speed brake, and use half flaps.

I have my CG at 215mm, and it tracks perfect, no nose weight.

Make sure the steering wheel is positive and has 25% expo.

Good luck!! Call me if you wish for more info 408-3906054...
