Give it a try anyway. It might clear up long enough for a few flights.

You think you've got it tough... we can only fly on days that end in "y" out here in San Diego. :-)

Seriously, Cobra, hope those fires don't affect you. I used to live and have family in Longmont and Frederick.

Tom Im sorry about those fires. NOT a good thing. If I could I would give you the water we get for the rest of the year. This is a true washout summer this year. Not uncommon. I just got off the phone with the CD. 2+ inches and nothing but mud. Cancelled.

Yea I know the feeling. It's going to be so hot here tonight they might issue a frost warning or close to it.

Rochester....my old home town. Where do y'all fly jets in the Rochester area? I was fortunate enough to finally see one at Joe Nall but I would love to get my dad out to watch. That's all he ever talked about since I got into this hobby many, many years ago. We'll be in Victor, NY around the end of July so any info you can give would be appreciated. I used to belong to a club in '85 that flew out of a postage stamp field, surrounded by trees of course, that was on RT 104 out toward Webster.....maybe the RAMS. Can't remember that well....long time ago. Also used to patronize G&G hobbies on Dewey Ave which I'm pretty sure is long gone. Looking forward to wings, Zweigles, Don and Bobs and Carvel ice cream cake!

bkf,

You could always come to Lumberton MS tomorrow and fly with us Rednek's.....of course it will be in the low 90's and humid as hell. But the sun will be shining. And woketboy will keep us all entertained with simulated conversation. Besides if you ain't gunna fly it I KNOW we will, even teach you the chicken flops.

"The Ram's fields and the Ram's are still here. Very nice bunch of guys. There fields are small as you said but they are owned by the club, not rented.

Bring back memories? Shops around here are the Hobby House on Lyell ) Near Nick Tahoe's II, Dan's Crafts on Empire. (former Slims Marine) and Performance in Webster. Wings as well as Zweigles can still be had. Nick Died but Taho's still is keeping heart dr's busy with the "Garbage Plate" Don and Bob's was Dozed a few month's ago so yet another uncessary bank could be built. You know near the high school. I went there just about every day while in school. Carvel can be had at any grocery store these days. Good luck with your visit and I sure would be honered to take care showing you around the Rc around here. Ken

Default Chicken Flop

Okay David, if anyone attempts to reproduce the Chicken Flop without license from me, I will be forced to take legal action against that person. Everyone knows that is a registered manuever of the Lott gang, and any infringement without proper authorization from me, Paul, or William will be cause for swift and immediate legal action. That person will be in BIG trouble.

I just wanted to clear that up.

Vincent: If I only could. There is something to be said about living 15 minutes from 2/3 of the worlds fresh water supply, Then again now I know HOW it got here.

Remember a couple of years ago when it was SO hot and DRY in the south. I drove my camper 1400 miles down to GA to meet a bunch of campers that I meet online. (Not to awful far from Claxton) It had not rained in month's. Our saturday night good friends get together and it rained like mad. Now im not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. (But they asked me to come back to several other area's)

Only if you rip both wings off 6" from the root and break the back 1/3 of the fuse off before coming to a complete stop.

Jason Someone already tried that. On the Canada side they started to fill up tankers of water to be sold in other areas of the world. But were returned to the St Laurence entrance to the Atlantic as empty as they came.

That weather forecast is what we get on a good day in Ireland! All the pattern boys perfoem better in 90MPH crosswinds than in calm air!!!!

BKF,

My brother and I visited each of the hobby shops you listed during our last visit to Rochester. I ended up buying a Traxxas from Dan's to keep us all amused. Quite an impressive hobby shop. This year we might venture out to some of the local flying fields if we can escape the family fun at some point. I'm still toying with bringing a plane with me but it's probably just wishful thinking that I could get that much time away. If I ever get my electric park flier in the air that will most likely have to be it. We try to get up there once a year for a visit. I have a few family members there but my wife belongs to a huge family. I was just curious if you have heard of the Klafehn's?

I was aware that Don and Bob's was no more on Monroe Blvd. but I thought Don's originals was still alive and kicking down at Seabreeze. I know that Don's wife sold out finally but I thought the new ownership was keeping it pretty much as is......love that hot sauce!!!!
