Has anyone built / flown the Schubeler Vector Pro edf ? If you have, I would like to hear your comments on it. I've been looking for
something to help train my thumbs for turbines ( still down the road a bit ). Would this be a good plane for that ?
Thanks,
David E

It certainly is more then fast enough! And it sure gets little fast. I saw it go at the San Diego Mid-Winter Electric meet.
I have seen on the Shred-Air website that they are working on one with retractable gear. When that comes out I may well have to get one. It is a very impressive EDF, but I still don't care for the bungee launch/skid on landing thing. Wheels will really make it attractive.

I have one and love it. I have done a full review including retract gear and twin rudder installation here:

It goes great from tarmac.

Gordon, thanks for taking the time to reply. I read your review. That is one beautiful airplane! The retract installation was particularly clean and well done. I have been shopping around for a fast airplane and I realy like the looks of the Vector. In your pictures, the quality looks first rate. I noticed Daniel Schubeler made a few posts during your review. Is he always this interested in how his airplanes turn out ? If so, that's a big plus. Will be waiting for the retract version to come out.
