The filter bag inside UAT is the same used at the gas pumps located inside the car´s fuel tank.
Good luck,
Miguel

There is a new manufacturer that will soon (within the month) be releasing a whole new line of bubble free tanks which are BETTER than BVMs and significantly cheaper, and that use an even more efficient pickup bag system ... no more paying $60 for a header ! on top of that, the tanks will come with ALL festo fittings (either compression fittings or quick release). Economy versions will also be available for even less, which will feature standard barbed nipples for fill, and up-rank , and still have a compression fitting on the top (to pump) .. On top of all this various tank sizes will be available.
Besides the header tanks there will be overflow tanks of various sizes, fest conversion kits for primary fuel tanks, as well as several other jet/turbine oriented products .... all at SIGNIFICANTLY lower prices than anything out there now !!

Hi Wojtek,
Who is doing it? Any more details?
BTW you are allowed to answer even if you are the one doing it, as I asked! I know these things!

I've never seen a UAT.
Is it basically a header tank for trapping air bubbles, plus a filter for trapping debris.
As I recall from my DF days, the outlet pipe would be rigid and dodges the bubbles by extracting fuel from the centre of the header tank space.
From what you're saying it sounds as if the UAT's filter is in the form of a bag which presumably surrounds the outlet pipe.
Is that it?
Thanks
Gordon

the special thing about the bubble free tanks (withthe bag pickups) is that it will not suck in any air as long as even a small portion of the bag is submersed in fuel. You will not get bubbles in the lines unless the tank is pratically drained .. The filteing the bag provides is basically a extra feature that happens to be there ... (usually there is a filter before or afte the fuel pump anyway ....

similar setup used, much better components at a MUCH better price .... Testing shows identical performance to the BVM unit. basically smooth fuel delivery and no bubbles under numerous conditions (shaking, sideways, right side up, upside down, etc .. ) PM or email me for more info ..

All of these UAT-like schemes and my pleated paper clunk all work due to the same reason... the fuel's surface tension across a medium (the fine mesh bag in this and UAT's and the fine mesh of the pleated paper on my clunks) keeps bubbles from passing through, as long as enough surface (does not take much) is immersed in fuel. They all work great and if someone can sell one for $25, more power to 'em!!!
