New 955 JR Receiver!
I just received a new JR 955 10 ch SPCM receiver. Was wondering if anyone has used them in their turbines and how they rate compared to the 950 receiver.
I have three 950 10 ch receivers and have never had any problems with ECU interference. JR no longer offers the 950 receiver for sale in there catalog so I no longer have a choice.
Thanks,
Ken........

New 955 JR Receiver!
Ken,
I have been using the 955 for over two years, having received some pre-production samples. It has been flawless, with increased range over the 940 I originally had in my MiG. They're now in both my MiG and Bandit, working perfectly.

955 receiver!
Thanks Tony,
I am going to put the 955 in a Boomerang I'm working on now, it's the plane Alan Cardish makes in England. The thing is huge, 8' wing and nose to tail is 7 1/2'. It will just fit in my Safari nose first with the wings off.
Should fly well and do a lot of maneuvers slowly!!!!
I read your thread about the new F86 you received from BVM, I saw you fly it at St George this past May, you should have a lot of enjoyment from it.

New 955 JR Receiver!
I have a 955 for 72 Megs operation, works perfectly. I have several 1000 receivers for 35 and 36 meg ops. and I think these are basically what are sold in the US as 955. Operation has ben faultless with no glitches as dropouts are recorded electronically on my models , so far nothing but rock solid performance, including the safe recovery of one model when someone arrived at the field with his Tx switched on my frequency and extended his aerial ! I did get the odd glitch on that flight , hardly surprising, but the radio got me down in one piece.

Boomerang!
Condoe-won,
Here is Alan Cardash's email address, I don't think he has a web page.
[email protected]
He is a great person to deal with, always returns emails promptly
and delivers items on time.
You will enjoy build the plane. I am going to put a P120 turbine in mine.
I have attached a photo of the Boomerang!
Regards,
Ken.........

I went beyond the DeMary range check!
Hi Ken,
I have been using the 955 receiver in my Hotspot with no problems. If it makes you feel any better, while at the Denver Jet Rally last Sunday morning, I flew the Hotspot without the JetTeam antenna screwed on! I had a major brain fart, and no one including my spotter noticed! We flew the Hotspot/P120/v.4.0 ECU at least 700 feet away with no apparent radio hold or the JetCat safety shut down! For those that are not aware of the Jet Team whip antenna, there is about 12" of exposed JR antenna wire from the receiver to the terminal end/antenna mount, then the whip antenna (~24 inches) is screwed on to this threaded terminal end. It is not a tuned antenna.
I did check the JetCat ECU's built in glitch recorder and it only recorded one hit. Normal so far for my setup has been zero for a 12 minute flying session.
So I'd say we had a good RF link

Thanks for your reply Ken.
That Boomerang is huge!
I saw it fly at FL. Jets & it was impressive.
Enjoy it & good luck on it, also keep us posted on your progress.
