What kind of turbine was it.

Been there myself which is one of the reasons I would love to get into turbines. Reliability!
Looks like the Starfire was fan powered.

Why not fix that one? Although it looks rough it looks repairable.....I have seen (and repaired) much worse.

I agree with David, Fix-er-up! I have fixed planes that were much worse than that!....She can fly again!

To me it also looks like D/F powered, and i bet it was an os 91 too.....

yes it was a fan job and yes it was a os91, that was the second time that day i had a engine quit the first dead stick was good but the second one wasnt,hey two years of flying what the heck,gregg in ohio

I've FLOWN things that looked worse than that! C'mon... a little 5 minute epoxy & it's good as new!

Here is a picture of mine AFTER I glued the nose back on!

I have it all repaired now except the clear coat, but alas .... No pictures as yet. (Forgot the camera)

hey had one of those on my a4, as soon as I squared off my final then the engine went silent. No major homework just to bent back the landing gears and off I went on the second sortie of the day. Here is a pic ( don't know if it will do justice. )

here is the Paint job after I repaired the fuse. Needs clear yet.

After the grafix, will clear it in the morning.

I see the turbine mount is off too, time for a bigger one?

Nah........... It didn't need any paint. And it's easer to get at the wiring with the mount removed.

The canopy didn't need any paint either. Hee Hee.

Was that A-4 pic taken at Floyd Bennet?? Great place to fly, lots of wind there though. I was a member there in the early 90`s.

yep it is, lots of wind and very hard concrete not forgiving on those figure 9's. but in all lovely flying over there expecially with the jets.
