Is this a Fun Fly or just a unscheduled weekend of flying? I looked for information on this and did not see anything on a Flyin at Waco this weekend. Any info would be great.

What is the CG location on your interceptor?. I will test fly my new one tomorrow and I want to compare notes. I have Marty's turbine wing configuration just like yours. Power is a RAM-750 with Tam's pipe, BVM bypass. Dry weight is 12.5lb in primer. I'm using the crow wing configuration as you recommended few years ago. I flew my last DF setup that way and it really helps it during landing.
Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

Ben,
I am not using Marty's wing. Both my wing and Marty's turbine wing uses the same airfoil as the original and both have some added wingspan, but I took all of the sweep out of the trailing edge of mine while Marty left about 5-10 degrees of sweep in the trailing edge of his.
The CG of my wing will be further forward than yours.
On my first ducted fan Interceptor (same wing I am flying now) I did quite a bit of experimenting with the CG location to try and solve the deep stall problem it was having at high angles of attack. I seem to remember moving it fore and aft a total of about 4 inches (2" forward, 2" aft of 25% MAC). At the more forward positions the elevator became less effective, and at the more aft positions it became more sensitive, but other than that it didn't really seem to effect the way it flew.
My suggestion would be for you to figure out the MAC of your wing and set your CG at about 27%. I think it will be safe to fly it there, and then you can change it to suit your own taste later if you like.
Good luck,

BARRY,
I WOULD IMAGINE THE BEST WAY FOR YOU TO COME IS TEXAS HWY 6... 6 CROSSES I-35, CONTINUE WEST ON 6 FOR APROX 5-6 MILES.. YOU WILL CROSS THE LAKE ON A BIG LONG BRIDGE.. THE FIRST EXIT AFTER YOU CROSS THE BRIDGE IS WHAT YOU WANT. I THINK IS SAYS SPEEGOVILLE III EXIT.. AFTER YOU EXIT YOU WILL NOTICE A PARK ENTRANCE WITH A GAURD SHACK.. THAT GOES INTO THE R.V.SECTION OF THE PARK.. DISREGARD THAT ENTRANCE.. CONTINUE WEST ON THE FEEDER ROAD ABOUT 1/2 MILE YOU WILL SEE THE SIGN HOTMAC FLYING SITE, TURN RIGHT THERE GO ABOUT ANOTHER 1/2 MILE THE GATE IS ON THE RIGHT..WE ARE GOING UP FRIDAY EVENING..IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CALL ME AT THE HOBBY SHOP TODAY OR TOMMORROW, I CAN GIVE YOU MY CELL NUMBER TOO..BRING THAT F-16!!! WANT TO SEE IT FLY!!!
SEE YOU THERE!!!

Then keep zooming out until you you get your bearings!
I tried to post the complete url for the map, but it was too large.

Hey Berry,
If you decided to go, might I catch a ride with ya? Give me a buzz. I'm a great navigator.
