Default Mixing down elevator with brake servo?

I have a 9CAP. I want to mix down elevator with an aux channel. I have UP6 proportional brake valve connected to channel 7 (aux1) on a 9 CAP. Can someone tell me how this is done?

What are the other methods of activating brakes on a jet. Since this is a proportional valve, it cannot be activated by a switch...Currently I have a slider switch for brakes.

thanks,
anurag

Hey Anurag,

Just go to the mix menu and set up a mix with elevator as the master and aux1 as slave. Email me if you need this detailed out, i'll walk you through my setup. I have brakes set for down elevator and on right slider for startup.

Sent you mail!
Figured I would put it here as well...

Hey Anurag,

Here is my setup....

On Mix1:

MAS: ELEV

SLV: AUX1

LINK: OFF

TRIM: OFF

SW: E (Set to switch E (retracts) so brake application with elevator shuts off when gear is up to save air)

POSI: UP

RATE: down=0% up=100%

OFFSET = 100%

You will also need to go to AUX-CH menu and set CH7 to VR-E which will place brake control on right slider as well.

I also mixed my speedbrake so it would retract at 65% throttle stick, one less thing to have to think about if a go-around is initiated. Here is how...

MAS: AUX2 (Speed brake channel)

SLV: AUX2

LINK: OFF

SW: STK-THR

POSI: move throttle to desired retract position (50+ %) and press jog dial for 1 sec, percent wanted will be inserted. if wrong percent is entered then just move stick higher or lower and hold jog dial again.

Let me know if you have any further questions....

Best Regards,

Todd

PS....are you getting close to flying???

Back to work on the BobCat.....
