Default Mallorca Jet Pics (trickery?)

I am glad you guys are enjoying the photos, if you have looked at the JMA site before you will see that I usually put large photos already opened but have decided to speed things up for you with thumbnails. It also means that the ones you want to look at have much better quality. This is my first attempt and more will follow.

The next ones will be after the 'Classic Jets' Summer Meet.

As regards the photos a good friend of mine visited the event and has a super camera, it is an SLR with a 6 million pixel CCD and some nice lenses..........hence the results.

So JohnVH you are right that there is some trickery but not much, Only ONE of the photos has been touched up if you can guess correctly I will own up and tell you which one it is.

Lookforward to hearing from you guys with your guesses.

F-15 taken from image 2474.jpeg and dropped into background to create new image F15flyby.jpg. Add artificial shadow and use smudge tool (Photoshop) to create heat distortion from tailpipe. next time try a wave filter for the distortion...looks more realistic. Very nice quality pics. Must have a nice telephoto lens for that digicam and a nice shutter response (one of my complaints about most of the new cams.
Nice job.
BTW, I work in PS all friggin day long, so don't feel bad that I found it relatively obvious. There's no tricks in any of the other pics.
Now, what's the prize.
What kind of plane was in that full-scale flyby? Nice.

OK Guys... you got it in one I'm the bloke that took the pictures and I did the F-15 one for a bit of fun. I've only just got PS and am very new to it to say the least... I could do with some training as it's such a comprehensive piece of software! The rest are straight up... I haven't even put them through an 'enhance' function. I have a load more (hundreds in fact!) so if you have any specific questions on what you see feel free to mail me... my friend who runs the web site is away for a week or so and probably won't be able to answer your question.

I hope you enjoy the pics

All the best,
Dominic

The F15 looks pretty doctered to me, that was the one I was mainly thinking, also tehe L39 landing look off, but it could be real.

Great pics though!! Wish you were here to take pics of me flying!

The F-15 'fly past' is the only doctored one I can assure you The L39 was pretty easy to photograph as it's so big. It was also being flown by an excellent pilot from Germany who's competed in the Jet World Masters from what I gather. Pilots that fly low and slow make it easy for me I might try and get over to Florida for one of the events later this year so if you see a Brit with a big camera wandering around you know who it is

Thats some camera! I can see both the com and LORAN antennas on the bottom of that full size A-37 Dragonfly.

Default camera

was it the new canon digital camera that uses eos lenses?

just wondering, the photos really stand out from typical digitals.

I don't see an A-37 there. Could you be talking about the Spanish aircraft in camo. I think it's a CASA something or other....

Default Re: one of the jets in the pictures

xxl jet from germany (post # 1)

I like the pictures from the Mallorca 2000 Jet meet. From the pictures I noticed the xxl jet img 2275, the large jet with the canard and the tip tanks. I owned two now I have the third one on order. With these two plans I have experanced lots of problems with the CG and the canard inscedence. This jet flys very good and I am looking for some information on that xxl jet, because I did not received any information when I rececived them.
The problems I had is the CG wihich I have moved forwad 5 inches. I would like the proper CG and the canard inscedence. The nose would belly upwards on the landing.

If you know of any one who can provide with this information they can email me at [email protected].

Thank you pilatus porter joe

You are correct, that is'nt an A-37. Guess I was too focused on the fine details to see the airplane.
