AMT AT 400????
I heard a rumor that the AMT 400 on Larry's Kingcat caused the crash he had this past weekend. I heard that the AMT has contracted with an electronics firm that specializes in designing controls for kitchen cooking appliances and that there was a glitch in the software. Someone also mentioned that Francis had assisted in the startup and had a brain f a r t and set some parmaters wrong, so.....when it took off it went into the self cleaning mode instead of the flight mode and then the crash happened.....amazingly when the airplane hit the rabbit the ECU went into broil mode and cooked the rabbit......BUT....being an AMT engine the cooking was un even, (new product you know!)
So is there any truth to this rumor??? Maybe Falconmud can answer for us?

RE: AMT AT 400????
From what I heard, the radio went into failsafe on takeoff and locked the plane into a slow left turn. The engine promptly shut down as soon as the fail safe was initiated. I guess it was just one of those things that happen. It is not the airframe or the engine or the pilot fault.
I guess if you are picking on a product, rest assured in the fact that the engine did not BLOW UP and throw metal all over the airframe

David,
are you saying that he hit and killed a rabit when the plane crashed ??? i want to see pictures !!!
by the way David, i don't think anything on this forum should be taken too seriously ... even when arguing, bashing, and insulting, it has to be done with a laugh and a smile

Pictures are on the "Beat Your Meat Jet Rally" thread.

Read all about it here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_18..._2/key_/tm.htm post 45-47.
This thread is meant as a joke by D.R and should be taken FWIW.

David R.
You know you can't make any remarks no matter how funny on this forum without someone taking it the wrong way or out of context.
The pressure of flying these complex toys is tough and a little fun makes it bearable should one be lost for whatever reason, but some of the readers take this forum way to serious and are ready for a fight any day.
I hope everything said here is in fun because I love seeing and flying with all of you guys at all of the meets.
give me some love
William
p.s. sorry for your lost Larry and Vern , can't wait to see the paint job on the next one.

Moderators close this one down. I have had several nastygrams about this one....obviously some good humor was wasted.

People should realize that the airplane in question was a BVM product and we all know that D.R would never say anything negative about BVM product even if it is powered by a RAM (lol).
Lighten up people. Read the thread I referenced in my previous post, then read D.R's original post and you would be ROFLYAO.
