RAM 750PR max RPM adjust
I have a RAM 750PR I want to adjust down to 100k vs the max of 120k. After setting the max rpm parameter to 100k and going back thru the TCH program, the throttle on my JR8103 tx makes the engine reach the desired rpm at mid range. It won't exceed the 100k, but how do I adjust the travel so full stick travel gives me the desired result?

I assume that you have set your throttle ATV points at 100% High and Low right? O.K. does this just happen on the first throttle up of each run? It would be normal for the rpm to max out well before full throttle as the ecu learns the throttle setting on each run. After that the throttle should be more linear.

Even though this is a different model Ram that uses CP instead of RPM, this thread might help. If not you may want to post this in the manufactures section as Albert (rambat) posts there regularly.

Throttle ATV setting didn't make a difference. I used 100% and tried 60%. I guess the question now would be how many times does it take bringing the throttle up, till I get the desired RPM, before the ECU learns that I want the reduced RPM at full stick travel. Appears it should only be once.

You must after each start go to full throttle and leave it there until the yellow light on the ECU goes out. As Dean mentioned, this shows that the ECU has learned the throttle settings. After that the throttle response should be more or less linear. If you do not leave it at full throttle until the yellow light goes out, the throttle response will never be linear.

Jack: on the 750PR you need to set your atv at 100%. Set the Throttle high at 100. Remember to save it or it will stay at the previous setting. Once you have done this, simply start the engine. On the first throttle up it will learn the new throttle curve and will make it linear there after.
When you see ENGINE RUNNING on the STD you will notice the green and amber lights are both on. Once you throttle up and the ECU sets its self, The display will then read THROTTLE HIGH SET and the amber light will go out.

Not to disagree with Albert, but I believe you will only see the "Throttle High Set" display on the SDT with the "C" ECU's. But I have also seen a "C" ECU that never did display that after the full throttle run. But in any case, the amber light does come on after the start, and you must go to full throttle until it goes out.
