RE: Skymaster F-15 off grass
I will be shortly....but we have been operating the very similar Avonds F-15 off grass for over 5 years....no problem....but I did beef up the gear blocks on both the Avonds and the Skymaster with 3mm C/F plate just for extra security, cuz after about 100 TO/Landings, simple plywood starts to get hairline cracks and the blinds nuts start to pull thru a bit....very easy to do before the cracking starts.....
We cut our grass with a reel-type mower set to 5/8"....field is 750 ft long with no obstructions on either end....
My Skymaster had a P-120 in it orginally, but I had a spare AMT 180SP which is in it now.....
Flew many flights with the Avonds 15 with a P-80 before switching to a P-120.....comes off in about 300 ft with a P-80 and about 200 ft with a 120....

Our field is roughly 600ft of good grass with some runoff on either end. No problems getting in and out of it though. I have an FTE T750 in mine and it works just great. Perfect combo in my mind!
