Default Missouri Valley Jet Scramble

Just wanted to remind everyone that the MVJS is coming up quick. Ward and the gang put on a great event. Weather is always cool and the drink hot...or is it the other way around? I know the all the folks form MN are heading down. Put it on your calendar:

August 2-4

Kevin, thanks for the plug. Maybe this year we'll surprise you and you'll wish you had your jacket.
How much fuel do you plan to bring this time? Seems to me you guys should consider towing some kind of tanker for as much flying as you do!
We look forward to the F-15 show.
Between you guys and Lance, should make for some nice formation...

Default MVJ Rally

The Super 8 is filled as of 11:00 A.M. on the 12th. I got a room 20 miles north in Syracuse--Sleep Inn---for 57.99 for a single.
402-269-2700 for the Sleep Inn. It's at the junction of Hi 50 & 2. Easy access off I-80 and I-29.

Nice hotel in Syracuse and easy drive to Tecumseh. Also a little longer drive to Nebraska City for hotels there.

Default Summer in Nebraska

I heard at the last MVJS planning meeting that Ward Neesen promised, yes garanteed that the weather will be perfect with temps in the 70's with light and variable winds.

Hotels seem to be filling up fast. I have called the Sleep Inn at Syracuse, they have very few rooms left. (402)269-2700

Also Super 8 in Neb. City (712) 382-2828 has a few left. It seems also be the "Rodeo Week" in the area, so motels are filling up.

Default Missouri Valley Jet Scramble

The Missouri Valley Jet Scramble is just a couple of days away! We will be setting up on Thursday Morning at 9 AM (Right Ward?) and will have open flying on Thursday afternoon and evening for anyone coming up early. Not an official (Sanctioned) day of the rally so you can fly anything you want. Friday morning is the offical start with pilot briefing around 9AM. Looks like the weather is going to be good with highs in the upper 80s

See you there

I want to fly up early Sunday Morning. Hope there are still turbines flying. Please don't Crash till I get there.(Some of the Jet kits cost more than I paid for the Cardinal.)

Really! What did you pay for the Cardinal? That was the last plane I flew.....back in the early to mid '70s. Liked the plane a lot.
