Spacemonkey,
There's a sight for sore eyes. LOL.
I was inquiring about some plans for one of these a few months ago. I was beginning to think I would have to make it myself. [
] Would definately be interested in the outcome of this. Do you have any plans to kit it or anything? Looks great and keep us posted. [8D]

Hey guys thanks for the response.Right now there are tenative plans to make it into a kit.As we get futher into the project that will be determined. We are on a deadline so we`ll know real soon. With the intake and exhaust being very short(mainly the exhaust) we`re building it for twin turbine or DF.We will try a single turbine also once we have it flying. With this much wing it should fly well with twin p-70 or p-80 size engines all the way up to say twin Pegasus or(twin Olympus),oops thats not legal.
We`ll post more pictures in a day or so.

I will be posting new pictures this week. As for the gear, the mains are based on the F-14 so the prototypes are being made from drawings of the Tomcat gear. The nose leg will be Prowler specific. We`re making tooling to partially make the gear out of composites to save weight.

Very nice and unusual design, congrats. You should also seriously think in the single turbine version... there is a fouga magister design which uses a single turbine with a bifurcated pipe in nozzles well set apart like yours without problems...

Hey guys,I got a chance to start glassing the Prowler today.Heres a few pictures.Enrique, you`re absolutly right it shouldn`t be no problem to make a single turbine version.
We went out to the airshow at Miramar this past weekend expecting to get some close up detail shots of a Prowler and there were none on display. The next chance to get up close to one looks like Nellis airshow next month.Does anyone know a good website with good detail shots.
Excuse the dates on the pictures I have to set the date every battery change.

I was going to ask about the dates on the pictures. [sm=lol.gif]
What kind of pictures are you looking for? I have a few, but most are either flying or landing/take off.

All EA-6B fans,
I came to this string looking for a scale model of the Prowler. My company is doing some antenna develpoment work for the Navy, and we need an accurate model of the Prowler to do our testing. If anybody has an EA-6B at any level of completion I would love to talk to you.
Thanks,
Ben

There already IS a 1/6 scale A-6, I think the two seater version. It was kitted some years ago, I believe the plug was made for FLIGHT OF THE INTRUDER. Glass fuse, of course.
I know a fellow who has two of them, so far unfinished.
Did you know about those ones before you started?

ET,
The one's you are talking about are manufactured by JetMartUSA now. I believe they were marketed by someone else prior, the name eludes me at the moment.
I don't like the looks of the A-6. I know they are the same basic airframe, and both have a look only a mother could love. LOL. I used to work on the EA-6B and to me it looks better with the extended cockpit on it. [8D]
