OK Bryce & Johnny, you won this one on a technicality, UPS didn't show up at my door in time for the show. So we will consider this war even for now.

And YES, the Skymaster F-18 will be equipped with a arrester hook. So consider the Redtail show a practice run. The real war will be coming up soon.

Just a reminder to Bryce and Johnny,

At the last jet show at Markham, the Redtails tore up the skies. Since we had to work this one, we had to concentrate on making sure the event was safe and fun for the Pilots and the spectators.

The next jet rally will be a different story.

1) I will be free of comittments, 2) armed with a transmitter 3) ready to take back what's mine.

So look out guys - THE SAGA CONTINUES!!!

Hmmm................sounds familiar...........We'll be waiting. [sm=redface.gif]

You need to get that F-18 away from that bush and start practicing. War is a very serious matter my friend.

Very Serious.

In all seriousness now , Johnny and I had a great time flying with all of you guys and look forward to next year!
It's always nice to fly and joke among friends and its great to see how competent everyone has become out there at Markham! I don't believe there were any mishaps other than a couple of minor gear problems. GREAT SHOW EVERYBODY! And CONGRATS to the 332nd Red Tails for running a first rate show, I'm proud of you guys! I was really surprised at the large turnout from both pilots and spectators both days and was glad I was able to make it. So until we all meet again..............

Take Care Everybody!
Fly Safe

Ok, I'm back! I found a few more pics of the event and I have to keep a promise I made to a guy on Saturday.

Wil's beautiful giant helicopter finally did fly at the hands of Vic.

KEVIN, 3D'ing his A109! Kevin is a very quiet character, so quiet in fact, that no one knows his last name! But he is also one hell of a chopper pilot.

Ok so on Saturday I was walking to the vending machine when a guy came out of the crowd and stopped me. He introduced himself (John B.) and asked how long had I been into this hobby, flying....etc. etc.
I told him, "since as long as I can remember." He replied "the reason I ask is because I have RCU up as my desktop on my computer and I am fairly new to all of this, however my thing right now is building plastic models." he then went on to say "I have a three year old son however who absolutely loves planes and jets and is fascinated by remote control stuff." He said he had come down to Markham from Stuart, Florida (about an hour and a half away.) because he saw on RCU that this show was going to be going on and he wanted his son to see the planes.

John then asked me "Bryce at what age do you think I should get him started into all of this, because right now I think he is just too young." I told him, "let me think about that question for a bit John and if I can find a couple of pictures, I will answer that on RCU." He said "are you serious?" and I said " I promise."

Well John, after searching all over.......................I found those pictures.

Bryce

Thanks for the great photos man even though I couldn't make it I can see from your commentary and photos it was a great RC fly-in.

Looks like u and Flo Boy had a blast I was amazed that the darn P160 takes 11 seconds to spool from idle to full. Really seems you have to be at the right altitude on base leg and can't really throttle back to correct. Does your F5 have alot of drag whereby it slows very quickly and you don't have to go to idle?

Johnny where was that big SU 27 ?

See you guys in 2 weeks at Lake Wales Bryce bring your camera with your batteries charged.

Hi Ian,

No the F-5 does not have a lot of drag, it just does'nt fly below half throttle, always needs that "push" to keep it up there, on the taxi back from that last landing the engine quit just as I cleared the runway....................no fuel.
