Default THE WAIT IS OVER!

The first North American Simjet 700 has landed in a customers hands....MINE! Yeah!

I was with Kevin while he was testing (they test every engine before it goes out) the most recent shipment of engines. Mine was one of them. After testing, delivery consisted of him handing it to me. The others will need to be shipped.

What a cool little engine. The start up was so quick. It has a 280 motor to spin it up. It comes with the Full auto start FADEC ECU & terminal, LiPo batteries and charger, onboard propane tank and valves.

Now I cant wait for my L39 to arrive from Savex.

Idle RPM: 45.000
EGT @ 7lb thrust : 600° C. (1100° F.)

Yeah, it does look cool. I put it on my test bench last night and does it ever look small. Kinda cute! LOL! Maybe it will be a 3000 when it grows up.

Hi Bob, Hotel Sierra

The current price is $2399 which includes engine, Autostart ECU, ancilliaries, 2200mah LiPo battery and charger. We haven't had time to update the site yet, but will get that done soon. Availability is on an order only basis. The demand worldwide has caused a waiting list for the 700 at SimJet. We have put a standing order in place at SimJet for our customers so that the wait time is minimized.

If you have any other questions, please do hesitate to contact me.

I think I will be getting the pipe from Wren. There have been good things said about these pipes.

The test run was short, but it read 7.2 lbs at 190,000 RPM. The load cell in this stand reads low so I will have more details once I run it myself on my test stand. I will record the temp, thrust etc.

I will likely use a throttle curve so I have half thrust at half stick. This is the advantage of running it on a test stand first. I will read the thrust and adjust the curve accordingly. Sorta like a reverse expo.

I too like the idea of LiPo's as I will try to keep the wieght of my L39 as low as possible.

Hi all

That 700 is just great. I have the first one they made an I have allot of flights on it. And that thing just runs so great.
So KAOS. You are going to have a lot fun.
And the best part is that a L39 will fit in a car with the wing on it.[8D]

If you need any help with the L39. Then just say So KAOS...

Can you speed up the manufacturing and delivery from Savex. Not that I am waiting for a long time, just that I am anxious.

I am sure this combo will be great. Simjet 700. Savex L39,spring air 301's. All up weight should be 8 to 8 1/2 lbs. Or 10 lbs wet with 1 liter of fuel!

I ran the engine a few more times on the test stand. 3 quick starts using onboard propane tank. Idles at 60,000 full rpm is 190,000 with a EGT of 640 C SWEEETTT!

Be careful - There are two L39 manufacturers. The other is www.savex.cz which is the one that the 36 page RCU thread is referring to!

Cheers from NZ!
