I ordered it on a Monday, had it Thursday. Took all of an hour to install. The system works flawlessly. My KC weighs 30.4 pounds dry(with uat full), power is a P-120. Straight and level with a couple of clicks above half throttle-182 mph. The nice thing was my spotter reading out air speed on downwind, base and final.
Well worth the money in my opinion.

What all are you monitoring with your system? And is it the wireless telemetyr version? Can you set audible alarms to for stall speed etc..? I am interested in their systems but would like the audible feedback similar to the system that Fiorenze was selling.

That is really neat!

Is the feedback telemetry somehow assigned a "channel", so that if more than one person is using one of these systems at the same time, the feedback from the multiple TX's don't get all munged together ?

That's a good question. I have another. Does the unit not have a static port? I can't see how you'd get good speed data without a good reference point.

Yes you assign a channel. It has allot of channels available. The static sensor is inside the case of the recorder. It also records altitude and rate of climb/decent along with allot of other stuff. I use the unit too. Have two of them.

Cool unit, but best suited for thermal-hunting duration gliders, IMO......I've got enough trouble keeping track of my plane without my spotter looking at a black box, calling out altitude, rate of climb/descent, airspeeds, battery voltage, pump voltage, RPM, Angle of Bank, Fuel Remaining and Lat/Long coordinates, while avoiding a mid-air with the other 6 guys in the air....

Ron, what we really need is TCAS......bet David would agree....

Good to hear from you, the system I have is only set up fpr airspeed, elevation and bat voltage. You can add extra sensors for G-load, RPM & temp (Prop only- I think) and a few others.


Although I love neat gadgets, the main reason I installed this in my KC was to develop a base line for landing speeds. Although the plane might actually be flying at a different speed than is transmitted back to the pilot, a benchmark can be determined. By using this system, I hope to be able to fly a more consistant landing pattern. Does this make any sense??

BTW, Ben- we are flying at Van Wert Sunday....

Hi Ted

If the static port is inside, how accurate are the readings? The interior of the fuselage tends to be in negative pressure which will make it look like your going faster than you are.
