Hello,
I built my TGA Topcat in about two weeks spending two to three hours on weekday evenings and a good four to five hours each day on the weekends. The flying surfaces are foam cores, you can sheet them yourself or buy the pre-sheeted ones. You have to cut in the elevators, ailerons and rudders, then cap and hinge them. The formers are CNC router cut and slip together like a puzzle. If your are going to put a Jetcat in it, purchase the extra plywood pieces for the Jetcat installation. It makes a very well thought out turbine, fuel cells and electronics installation. The construction is very simple and straight forward. If you have any question during construction I would be glad to offer my input, although I'm sure TGA will answer any questions also.
The Topcat flys like a dream, it has no bad habits and flys like a trainer. I suggest you purchase the knee action struts as they are awesome, they have to be the best sport struts on the market. I have put them on all my sport planes. Good Luck!!

Precut plwood parts for the mounting of the propane tank and such for the Jetcat instulation.
The White Topcat on the TGA web page has those pieces, and since TGA sells Jetcat, they made up the lumber parts.
This was a Loooonnnnggggg time After you got yours, John.

APpreciate the replys on top cat . Is the Cat pretty fast and acrobatic ? Is it real groovy like a Hot Spot? Does it seem to be of rugged construction Especially landing gear mounts.
Thanks Heyerflyer

Mine goes pretty fast, its 18lbs dry and with the P80 I run full throttle passes with no limiter on it, so it can take it. I dont feel its as clean as a design as a bobcat so they may be faster, but I enjoy mine, Ive had a nice bouncy landing with no damage to anything so its strong enough. The struts are pretty sweet and I recommend them.
Im not sure what you mean by groovy, but goes where you point it.....
