Stupid question but need to know...[:-] Im just ordered some mylar to attempt to make my first thrust tube.. I need to know if I make the thrust tube diameter for the fan shroud at 5 1/4" or is this the inside diameter of the dynamax? I cant get to my fan unit without tearing out the ducting, etc to get a accurate measurement.. Do I need to make the thrust tube say 5 1/2" inchs to compensate for the plastic shroud material thickness? Basically, I just need to know the measurement of the outside perimeter of the back end of the dynamax fan shroud.... thank you in advice...
I hope someone understands what measurement I want.. its late (cant think)

I measured the DF ducting for a Y/A F-18 twin, The ducting is 5 1/4" at the fan end and tapers to 3 5/8". Yellow ducting is made for the Dynamax fan. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info!! I decided to make a new thrust tube from 4"inch exit to 3.75"inch,... if thats not enough static I'll make a second with 3.5"inch.. I guess its time for some Trial And Error...
