Default Savex L-39 Correspondence & Delivery Issues

Hi all. I ordered a Savex L-39 for my boss back in October. Vaclav stated that the plane would be done in early January.

Well, it's now February and I've e-mailed him several times and received no response. Is this normal for these people?

I just want a simple update, that's all. If it's taking longer than expected (which it is), I just want to know.

I'd like to hear your experiences with this company.

Thanks

Spence

If you read the L39 thread you will see that there is a wait. I too ordered in Oct. Oct 10 to be exact. I was told 2 to 2 1/2 months putting the delivery around christmas. Yes, I am still waiting, but I know the wait is worth it. Sit back, relax and enjoy it when you get it!

I ordered two more in October, expected soon. I emailed for a delivery date a week ago, no reply, yet! Vaclav is a slow on delivery due to demand for his product. but delivers a tremendous product at a great price. The slow delivery and correspondece goes with the territory ! Supply and demand ! I promise you its worth waiting for.

Regards,

David Gladwin

PS Order your second NOW, saves the wait later. After flying your first you will want another.

After receiving my invoice I e-mail'd savex that I would send 1/3 of the payment and the rest upon completion of the model. Havn't heard anything from them and probably will not. Normal business practices don't seem to apply here. It's a great product and I'd love to have one but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Meanwhile I'll continue on my JHH A-4 turbine conversion and look forward to the new smaller offerings that are sure to come.

I am in waiting mode too, Vaclad seems to receive the emails but he didn't reply them, and they
also return with a delivery failure status... after sending our hard-earned money to CZ, I hope that
this company improve their internet customer management in the future.

Quite a contrast with Wren, emailed Sara last year and asked about the 44 autostart availability, she promised that she will email me when they where available and she did so. now the turbine is here ... easy as that.

Thats the point. I'm not sending my hard earned money. Right now it's a sellers market, but it won't be like that forever! I'm glad to here you guys are into jets/RC down in S. America and I agree with you about Wren, they are outstanding. I have mine set up on a test stand and only need my propane regulator to begin my turbine experience. Stay tuned, Doug

Hey what's up with these posts ? When a certain member was questioning RPM technologies buisness practices concerning delivery ( or lack of) his posts were deleted by the moderator. I think all posts like this should be able to exist, we all spend good money and like to know how manufacturers are doing concerning quality, ethics, and delivery policies. I'm not talking flaming or slander, but honest experiences with vendors, and mfg's. Because of forum censorship on the mfg of the Isobar I simply will not buy any of their products.
Let the good, bad and ugly fall where it may. Just my two cents worth , Ken

I have no doubt that it is safe to pay in advance to Savex, and I know that they make a good airplane, because many respected modelers around the world are kind enough to share their experiences with new products ... the only annoyance is that Vaclad seems not want to buy a new computer!

New computer or not...Commumication is important. I still have not gotten an answer to several questions I've emailed him when I sent my hard earned money to him. I have no doubt that I'll receive an airplane for it. I do seriously doubt that I'll see it at the end of March as agreed upon when I ordered it. How many of us would put up with a delivery of hobby goods from any mail order house that showed up 4-6 weeks later than scheduled? Not many I'll presume. Do I like the situation? No way....Am I willing to wait the 12 weeks..yes or I would not have ordered it. Would I have been willing to wait 18 weeks....nope. In fact in mid December when I ordered it the wait was around 8 weeks. By the time Vaclad sent me an invoice the first week in January (due to tax purposes was his reason) I was already #009 for 2005! I'm SURE my delivery schedule slipped because of this 3 week delay at Vaclad's request! Do you think a note to each of us with a revised delivery schedule would be helpful? I won't change the delivery...but it would go a LONG way in the sake of customer relations. 5 months wait while my money is spent is not the usual way of doing business. Maybe a 1/2 down and the balance when ready to ship would be better? It's NOT like Vaclad would be out of money for his efforts with such a backlog. He could wait to paint it when the balance arrives too! That would put the wait a 2-3 weeks after full payment is made.

Since I paid a premimum for the aircraft of $40USD over and above the stated price (in euro dollars) in US dollars AND paid another $40 to my bank for the wire transfer...just asking for my money back will result in $80USD down the drain. Yeah that makes me happy! So I feel stuck with whatever happens with this transaction. I just hope that he gets the color scheme right! There is history that this error has been made in the past.

NONE of the above questions the quality of the aircraft OR IF I'll ever get it. The hobby industry is really rather small and I'm sure Vaclad isn't going to rip anyone off. I NEVER for one second believed that I would not receive the airplane.

I am sure all will be forgotten when you receive your L39. I know, I just received mine. Now the wait does not seem so bad that I have a very nice L39 on my bench.

With savex is difficult to communicate, but we have to admit first that at savex they speak very few english, and (as my knowledge) savex is a family company. so whe cannot pretend that they answer everything asap...

so we have just to be patient and everything will be fine...

the only stuff that really s@#< is the e-mail adress bouncing...

but, if really someone has to complain, now they are also in the EU, and in this way some stuff should be made easy...

i'm personally very happy with savex, for different reasons, and for such a good plane, waiting time is not an issue for me.....

I really don't know, because there was a lot of delays here in Brazil for a money transfer to the
CZ republic... And sometimes is better to forget. It is convenient to be tolerant at a certain levels with other people's way of doing things....

Of course I'm tolerant...I haven't asked for a refund. You can't deny that Vaclad has a real problem with communication. It's his business and you play by his rules. He demands 100% up front payment. That's OK...not mainstream. What's a bummer is the ever increasing lateness of his scheduled deliveries. We're up front with the cash...how about being upfront with the REAL expected delivery?

I ordered Oct 10 and was told 2 1/2 Months. It took 4 months and one week. I did email Vaclav a few times. I have a friend that speaks czech so I had the emails translated before I sent them. I usually got a reply within a day. I am sure there may be a few reasons he is slow at answering regular emails. One, he does not speak good english(I tried to call him on the phone once). Two, he is very busy just keeping up with orders. But, like it has been said a dozen times, the wait is worth it. Just aknowledge that there will be a wait when you order. Youwill receive and it will be in good condition. He packs them very well.

Again...I' never doubted the worth of the airplane.....just my sanity for waiting, I'll bet close to 6 months, for it to arrive! Anyway..! wonder what Ebay will bring for it?

Dave , I agree 100%. This whole thing has become an amazing study of supply and demand. I'm returning to the hobby after several years away because I just happened to see an article about miniature turbines, I was hooked. The next hook was an article in Jet International. The Savex was featured and It was obvious it was a superior product that would have mass appeal to the average man [grass field clubs] This was back in October and I made several attempts to order one. At the same time I became aware of the "thread" in R C Universe about the L-39 & Wren combo. I could see the trend even before the interest created by the magazine article.Toward the end of the year I got word from Savex that I would receive an invoice early in 2005. As promissed I did but held off on running to the bank. I knew that time was criticle but could see the wait changing before my eyes from two to four to possibly six months IMO for delivery. It was at this point I made what I considered a fair offer by e-mail to Savex to send 1/3 deposit and the remainder upon completion. Fat chance and I guess I can't blame them, they don't need me or my order. But a company needs to look down the road. The last person you want to suffer is your customer. When my company has a spike in product interest and orders we take steps, i.e. HIRE SOMEBODY TO HELP if only temp. And I'm not talking about family members. If I had the disposable income, believe me I would have ordered it. But it was a big step just deciding to go turbine and I now have a nice airframe I bought in the RCU marketplace that I'm working on modifying for the Wren44. I had my heart set on the Little L-39 , maybe someday I'll have one. Just one man's opinion. Doug

Dave, you reckon 6 months is a long time to wait?! I have been waiting for (paid for) parts ordered over 12 mths ago from one certain surprisingly well known ARF kit manufacturer (Not Savex)... and replies from them are like getting blood from a stone to boot!!! 12 mths waiting is just about my limits of patiences......Iam about to go public on this crowd pretty soon, thats for sure!!! PM me if you are curious to who Iam talking about....

Marty,
Yes I'll PM you. This whole thing about the wait.....I paid my money, i was given a delivery date and now I'm seeing 2 1/2 months turn into 4 1/4 months WITHOUT a single post to this group or anywhere about delays. Forget the language barrier...We ALL have Babelfish! Its just plain and simple.....poor.
