Default Pylon Attachments

How do you guys make wing pylon attachments on foam wings?

Do you set a ply plate into the lower surface of the wing with a captive nut on the 'inside' surface, and have the nut trapped for ever, or do you use a fancier solution where you could remove the plate to replace the nut if you strip the threads?

Thanks

Paul

I have used the BVM threaded inserts meant to be glued into the wing. Simply drill a hole and glue in. Go to BVM's website http://bvmjets.com/ and then go to accessories, then bomb drop. There you will see a sketch showing the inserts I am talking about. I doubt that you will strip these.

I have used a wood dowel cut to size and glued in the foam wing flush with the wood sheeting. You can secure the pylon with a simple wood screw.
