My Feedback: (6)
I was impress when saw this plane at FJ. Is a very good locking with excellent skin detail....like the Mig-29...., and good size too, but unfortunately did not get to see it flying [&o]....?
I really would appreciate feed back from you guys....
Is it builds well?
Any problems during assembling?
I will consider to go with a P-120....opinions?
And the new gear from Intairco....?

hello miguel, i picked up my mig assembled yet it was not painted. dan gill and myself did the rigging and mods, he did the painting. mine had robart retracts. she flew excellent. you may have seen my mig at florida jets, she was painted in the chinese camo scheme, the only problem i had with mine was bagostix. he had too much cash and i had a new project and he now owns her. i will do another one someday. my friend kevin theole trolls here every now and then and he has a new one with the intairco retracts. he says they work great, maybe he will chime in. barry

I have not flown one myself but know a couple of people who have. It is a very solid stable model.

In case you had not done a search... check out this thread. I just recently purchased mine, and like you.... I love the surface detail. The new Intairco retracts look very nice indeed.... just wish the nose retract was oleo function. David Ribbe was my inspiration for a Mig 15. After watching him several years ago fly his own design BVM marketed Mig, I knew I had to have one. It's presence in the air is unmistakable

She look's like a beauty and with that wing she should fly slow. I know the previous Gear was a problem.
The Rivet and Panel lines are top notch.
I also see there is a nice Fuel Tank for her here

The only thing I hear from everyone is it's more like a Kit then an ARF.

Definitely not an ARF, with a fair amount of head scratching too, but the surface detail is superb, as well as the retracts from Intairco. You can actually put all the bits together in an hour or so and see how she will look when finished, but there's a lot of installation involved, particularly in the flying surfaces, servo install, airbrakes, geardoors. Then you need to balance the beast and with the huge tail at the back, you need to move everything, but the engine, in front of the canopy, plus some lead balast.
All-in-all, very good value for the money spent.

Give me some information as to the build time for the Mig 15.
I'm hearing that the Gear Doors are a real pain especially the linkage on that small secondary door on the main any tips?
What are you using for a motor?
Is it a plane that can be flown very slowly like say a King Kat and land on grass if need be?

Up this early??
I'm still building and haven't reached the gear door stage yet, but I have installed the wings and their servos, as well as the inlet duct and nosegear installation. I'm now working on the tail part (waiting for a pair of 3328's from Jr to fit for the elevators).
I'm planning to power it with a 30 Lb turbine, somehow, Comp-Arf says it's an overkill to use anything more than 20Lbs!!
Peter Agnew of Intairco says it flys as slow as YOU can!! Only, use airbrakes instead of flaps and she will slow down for perfect landings.

inner gear door tips. dan gill painted my mig, the doors were in the stock location when he got it. he said they would be easier to work and less likely broke if they were on the wing. so he moved them to the wing with simple robart hinges. i added a bvm cylinder when i got the jet back. this worked great and i used a jmp sequencer. good luck barry

Andreas Gietz told me that a cola botler can be use.....but looking at the shape of the Intairco tank, I wonder where the cola botler is suppose to be located?

I wonder if all parts fits a/o match without problem?
Do you use the stock tail pipe?? I notice these piper are a lot of hevier that Tams.....as a matter of fact, I can assure you Tam's will perform better.... For sure this will help for better balancing the model...
