Default Simjet 1200

Yesterday, I put my new DL aero MB339 in the air. It is equiped with a new Simjet 1200 auto start. I had some trouble on starting to find out it was a bad prop. reg. After that was fixed it started great.. The 339 has an empty # of 16 pounds and a wet # of 18.5 pounds I carry about 54oz of fuel. Take of is in about 350 feet but could be shorter if I tryed. Top speed is about 100 to 120mph not real fast but real nice. Put the flaps down and you can fly the pattern at 1/4 throtle. My flight time was about 6min from start to landing. This leaves about 1/3 tank left over. I will be extending my flight time later. The engine runs great I have not had any problems with this new engine. I will be flying the heck out this one at Super Man>
So look for it, and Look for the Simjet Guys.
See You There

Default Good to Hear

Hi Trevor

Glad to hear the engine is running so well in the 339. Look forward to seeing it at Superman.

Default 1200AES

Trevor,

Thanks for the good words. It's disappointing to see how this jewel of a powerplant has been nearly forgotten about, such as in the P-40 thread. It sounds like yours will be one of several 1200s flying as Superman. We can't wait to see it. Don't forget to stop by the SimJet tent to say "Hi".

Default Congratulations

Finally after a year of hard work, it's about time you get that first flight. Now you will get rid of all your prop planes. Good job.
The SimJet 1200 is a really great little engine.
See you at Superman
