Has anybody noticed that all of the kit prices have been removed from the BVM website?
I have previously been to the site and seen the prices and then tonight I went to check the pricing on the new F-86 and all of the prices are gone.
What gives?

I just hope the removal of the prices is not the start of a trend a la Yellow Aircraft!

Itll get the Jetcat P80. I have one and love it, and the service has been good so far, so might as well get another!
I believe BVM has one at superman with a P80 in it too, a buddy is going to fly it and tell me what he thinks hopefully
It sure goes together FAST! I have not worked on it much but today itll be on its own wheels. I actually enjoy working on this one..
One thing I love about BVM's site, is it gets updated all the time. Keeps you coming back to see whats new

I know the Sabre pricing was set at an introductory level, I wonder how much this is going to be raised and when?

I actually have the metal kote setup sitting here too. But I dont know, I have not seen a metal kote job up close so I dont know if Im going to use it or not. I love the look of the metal warbirds. I can paint easy enough, so this will be new to me, seems like a little work
My biggest fear is how hard is it to match on repairs, like scraped up wingtips and such..

I phoned BVM to order a super Bandit at the price on the site which was $4153 when I spoke to Patty she told me link to the super bandit price page was sending you to the old Bandit rather than the super one which is $4500 ish. I suppose they have closed the page till they can ammend it after superman.

John,
Since you have a P-80 get the P-120 so you have many more choices down the road as to what you end up building. Weight diffrence is minimal and you can always dial it down. Residual thrust difference in not a factor....
Just a thought...

well, idle thrust and weight is not much different from the p80?
Ill have to see, I agree going with a larger is wiser, but I have to dial down the P80 anyway. They dont list the 120 as a recomendation with this one, guess I could take the 80 off the topcat and put the 120 on it...or....
Thanks

At similar thrust settings, the P-120 uses less fuel than a P-80.
The P-120 is a bit heavier (I think about 4 ounces) and has a bit higher idle thrust.
Jason flew the BVM Sabre with a P-80 many times at Superman.
The turbine was set at 113K RPM , what an excellent flying plane! Jason is going to get one, and it is purely for the flying characteristics.
Oh yeah Jack Diaz flew his Rafael with twin P-160s....wow

Twin P160s !!!!!
I just flew a 12 foot DC-10 on two P120s and
it would climb out with 14 lbs of fuel at 45 deg...
I did see Jack fly at Superman and it was going
fairly fast.

Jack had his P-160's dialed up but on a mix switch so that he was not putting out full thrust. If one were to flame out he can flip the switch and then have the full thrust of 34# on the remaining engine, more than enough to safely fly, and land the plane.

Yeah...
I flew BV's Sabre with the P-80 at 113k at supermant too.... It is a very nice setup.... definately quick, but felt great, and did not feel heavy.... a great little rocket ship.... handles great.
