Default Paint and Primer Question

Anyone have good results using spray can primer and then going over that with concept or similar? Or do most stick with primer like K-36? Reason i ask is because i was trying to avoid the smell and this time of year for me anyways i usually must bring the parts indoors to dry, and it dont take long to make an enemy outta the wife <G> with the way most of the catalyst type primers smell. Was just wondering if there where other options

TIA Jack

Default acrilic car paint

I paint all my jets with acrilic car spray paint out the can the it just needs to be warm and dust free, when the paint is dry I rub it down with 2000 grit wet and dry paper and clear coat it with acrilic car laquer again out the can. the finish is every bit as good as any other ive seen and the big plus is that its light.

Here's my Bandit.

Default Spray Can Primer

At this very moment I am fooling around on this forum while the fumes clear out of my shop from my evening primer applications. I use Plastikote lacquer primer from a spay can, and it works fine.

The finish coat is acrylic lacquer, NOT from a can. I use my spray rig for that, but I suppose you could use lacquer from a can just as well. I did get a can of clear lacquer which I plan to experimen with for a clear coat. It is MUCH cheaper than the PPG clear coat I used last time, and just may look OK. I'll find out when I try it.
