My Feedback: (4)
Just to let you guys know I got my Blue Angel F-4 into the air today. I got 4 great flights. The engine ran great ,AMT Pegasus, and the airplane flew as advertised. I flew it clean no drops or centerline tank. On the third flight things were going so well I hot pumped it. Kept the engine running and topped off the air and Jet A.
Even got a gear down - tail hook down slow flyby for the camera. It was awesome. I highly recommend this jet to anyone who has the hook set as deeply as I do.
I like it so much I might even buy the company.
I will post pics as soon as I figure out how to reduce the resolution .

Glad to hear your F4 flew so well, mine gives me an adrenalin rush every time I start it. Tomorrow the Pegasus comes out to be replaced by a Pegasus HP (36 pounds of thrust) ready for our big jet meeting in Australia.
I'll let you know the results !

Jim,
Thank you very much, I give it my best shot.
Full review, in two parts, on the Pegasus HP starts in next RCJI Also in the pipeline the full autostart version of the TJT 3000 (plus more on its TEMS electronics) which is rapidly becoming a very popular engine, and the new AMT USA engine plus the Baird kerosene start engine.
Now back to work on that engine change on the Phantom !

The Pegasus HP is now installed in the F4. A little surgery will be required in order to fit in the electric start version into the bypass but as I dont yet have the autostart components the starter motor was removed and it will be operated in air start mode.
The original Pegasus looks like its never been run after over two years buried inside the Phantom.
I'll let you all know how it goes but it won't be short of thrust !
