Time to chime in!
Thanks to all who posted of their positive experiences with our Artes Micro Turbine engines.
Currently, turbines range from 14lb, 22lb, 30lb and 36lb of thrust. All perform exceptionally well as others have stated. Our research and development team is constantly working at improving our turbines. Our "throttle lag" is without question the shortest of any turbine manufacturer. This is a result of fine tuning many components of the turbine as well as the latest in programming in our ECU. Our customers are the most beneficial advertisement we have. Bryce Watson repowered his Liebetrau F-5 with our Artes Rhino and immediately stated it was a different airplane and approaches could now be controlled with the throttle. Fuel consumption was decreased as well. Each time a new pilot / owner experiences the performance of the Artes Turbine, an email follows to express their delight.
Availability and Service. ALL Artes Turbines purchased in the USA and Canada are imported by jetArtes Gulf Coast, www.jetartes.com and sold direct to the end user or to several dealers we have chosen to represent and sell Artes because of their reputation for excellence in the jet marketplace.
Service. ALL Artes turbines are returned to me here in Florida first. They are inspected for content, complaints addressed and if not resolved, immediately (the same day) are forwarded to Mexico City. I guarantee 7 day turnaround. We have this system down to a science. . .it works so trust us and our system. We are not an "OFF SHORE" company as some of our competitors would have you believe. there is no Water separating us! jetArtes Gulf Coast is owned exclusively by me. We are just approaching the end of our first year as the exclusive distributor for the US and Canada. Our customers speak praises about the service I offer. I simply will not have it any other way. If I cannot get your turbine back to you within 7 days, you will have a loaner to use just so you do not miss a fly in. I simply will not have anyone unhappy. Ask one. . .ask all and you will get the same answer. "Service you expect with results you want." I operate under the simple motto " We do business the old fashioned way. . .with a handshake and a smile!"
Oh, yes, your personal check is welcome here too!
Sincerely,
Eric Clapp

blufox , thanks for adding your all important comments to this forum i started. i've been looking at a lot of different turbines these past weeks and found your engines have a great reputation for service and reliability . i'm looking forward to turbines and you've narrowed the search for me . thanks , ron "warbird_1"
p.s. it's good to hear from the dealers , i know they watch the public opinions here but rarely sound off out of fear of being tongue lashed if problems come up.

After flying my KingCat for most of this year's season and late last season here in Wisconsin with a Rhino, the Rhino is definitely a keeper......flawless in over 100+ flights....hot weather/cold weather down to 20 F. starts smoothly.......pulled it off for a checkup now that winter has arrived in Wisconsin.......next ride will be in my SuperBandit for next season......
Pleasure meeting Eric and Philip at FIJR couple of weeks ago.......both know their stuff and ready to help......had a minor starter issue a while back.....dead band on the armature......called Eric at 5 P.M. local time on Monday and two days later on Wednesday morning, new starter, actually 2 of them, from Philipe via overnite Fed EX from Mexico.....no charge......great service......
No problem chatting with Gaspar Espiel on the internet, the Spanish FADEC ECU designer, as well......usually the same day.......although Eric or Philip, who speaks excellent English, can answer any operational questions.........

Just replied to a similar more specific Artes Falcon post, repeated here :
Just thought I would add my current experience with the Artes Falcon. Out of all the range I thought this would fill a gap in the market nicely between the smaller 90mm cased engines and the ubiquitous 110mm cased we are all familiar with. The aim is to use for it to power my Super Reaper during the cold UK winter months, hopefully this should keep my hand in while next years summer projects are underway.
Received my Falcon from Felipe within 5 days of order via good 'ole Mr.UPS. Motor was quickly bolted to the test bench to check if this relatively small engine actually matched up to the manufacturers claims. To my surprise it turned out to be something of a wolf in sheeps clothing with my trusty digi thrust meter showing around 11.4kg or just over 25lbs at full power (126krpm)!! General handling was nice and smooth with good sub 4 sec. acceleration idle-full power.
Rough uncut video footage here http://media.putfile.com/Falcon-189 Used my newly aquired micro video cam that I intend strapping to the Reaper for a bit of fun. Built-in microphone could not handle the db's so please excuse the poor sound quality which bears no resemblance to reality (just turn your speaker sound level right down).
Would be interested to here the experiences of other Falcon users.
All in all a very pleasant first experience. First flights are scheduled for next weekend so I'll report back then.
Rob.
