Well this isn't totally jet related, but for those that know "Cable Guy" or "Sparky" from Dubai, U.A.E. I was fortunate enough to meet him and just had to take a photo with him.
The next day he flew his big airplane and started flying with his feet and even landed it that way!
For those that haven't been, if you ever get a chance, go to Dubai and/or Qatar, great places to visit, and safe, and full of some really enthusiastic jet people!

Glad you made it back safely.

Just out of curiousity why does it seem like most all of the jet guys overseas have small compact cars as their hobby vehicle? Are SUV's untouchable $$ wise overseas or something??I just kept seeing many over the pond talk about using their cars for their jet(s) and I see many pics of jets strapped down on top of cars
thanks,Steve

I met the "Cable Guy" in Hungary at the WJM. He was a real cool guy and the story about the video was hilarious. His cohorts from UAE never give a guy a break, they are vicious. Sounds like you had a great time, can't wait to get there myself. Tell us about the Lear Jet....

and narrow streets unlike the U.S. and the last is that SUV´s have truck-like handling and less agility than a normal car... and as long that most modern airplane designs have two wing panels,
almost any plane could be transported inside a sedan or a SW version of the same.

The Lear jet belongs to Dave Lambrecht - he is a South African living in Qatar. He scratch built it. I don't know all the details but it had it's maiden flight last Friday (When Dave S took the picture one of the receivers had failed so it never flew that day). Flies really nicely and looks good in the air! I have some more pictures if you are interested.
