Hi all, i have just started to build my S/M HAWK. I was about to glue the flaps and ailerons in but when i offered them up for alighnment i found that the trailing edge of the flap was about 3mm back from the aileron trailing edge, is this right or should they be in line all the way.

Hi Steve, Sorry for the late response. I am away from my normal computer, attending Florida jets
The trick with your ailerons/flaps is to space the aileron away from the trailing edge of the wing a little. This not only allows full aileron movement, but also enables you to line the flap up with the aileron trailing edge. I dry fit all my control surfaces first to align them and check full movements are reached without binding on the wing skin
