Default Powerbox Evolution

I am building a boomerang XL and plan to use a powerbox evolution. I was wondering if duralite batteries can be used with this unit. If not, what kind of li-ion or li-po batteries are the jet guys using with non duralite powerboxes?

The std Evolution is designed to work with either 5 cell Nicad/Nimh or 2s Li-po batteries.
Li-Ion is slightly lower in voltage.
I either use Powerbox's 1500 Li-Po batteries with built in charger or 2s Thunderpower 2100 cells.

Dave

You could use them, but you will get false readings on the battery monitor so should stop flying early.

I'll ask Emmerich if anything is possible

Anurag, contact DuraLite for your Evolution Power Box and batteries. They have a complete set up wired especially for lithium-ion batteries and it comes with their fail-safe switch. It gives you redundant battery supply and divides the power comsumption for the servos and receiver. Very fool proof set-up and outstanding quality.

Richard
