Hi Mick:

I am about getting one Gripen model and have doubts between PJP or Zmodels one. It seems you have experience with both, what is your opinion?, did you finally fly the zmodel Gripen?, how it went?.

thanks for your comments

I would go for the PMP version, as the Zmodel Gripen has scale canards and is bigger..The Zmodels Gripen never flew as well....

Mick,

I have an un-built PJP Grippen, but was lementing the fact that I didn't get the bigger Z models one. Are you saying that the PJP flew better than the Z models? I'd be happy to hear it, but it seems unusual. I think the PJP one will go OK when I get around to it, but its not built for a turbine, so conversion will be a fairly large undertaking...

Mick,

Can you tell me what was the issue with the Z Models and what power did you use? Any pictures of the completed Z Models?

Thanks,
Bob

The Zmodel Gripen has scale canards which affected the flying of it.
It was Wren powered and was quite slow.
