Today, I install the Pegasus to the test bench and make some test. The test includes max thrust test and vector nozzles rotation test under max power. The max thrust is 38kg when core k210 turbine in 115000rpm. The k210 can run max 120000rpm, another extra 4-6kg can be estimated. I'll tune rpm higher step by step after I dissemble it and check internal parts for safety.

I also check the temperature of carbon casing and gearbox, the max temp is under 50C degree when engine is running and under 60C degree (no fan flow ) after engine is shutdown.

The thrust center position of vertical take off mode is also checked in the same time and its position changing versus different thrust level is in 10mm. This data can help me to determine where to mount the engine in the airframe and the fuel tank location.

How’s the Harrier coming along? Haven’t heard from Skymaster in a while, what other projects are you working on now?
