Default Weatronic English Software

I just downloaded the Weatronic Software to have a play with and it is in German. I can't find an English version (or an option to turn it into English).

I tried the Weatronic-USA site but it seems to be the same.

Am I missing something?

Is there English software too or is it only in German?

Guys, some of you may know that the first Weatronics receivers did not work correctly with JR synth transmitters but worked perfectly with crystal modules on the same frequency. They do now !

Weatronics (and Peter Agnew of Intairco, the australian Weatronics dealer) have emailed me the firmware update which was very simple to install using a SD card. Operation is now as perfect with a synth. module as with a crystal Tx. The firmware update is availble from the Weatronics website.

I am highly impressed at the rapid response of Weatronics to this "problem" and the ease with which the unit can be upgraded.

It may be an idea to have a Weatronics "clinic" on RCU, any suggestions/proposals on that ?

Regards,

David Gladwin.

David,

I have to agree with you that the Weatronics team was very responsive to the problem. We saw the problem while testing the unit with the syn. module on a JR and reported it back to them. We had the solution within a week along with a an additional modification for them. I am very happy with their response to the problem and suggestion. I think having a Weatronics discussion section would be great once the receivers start shipping.

RC International will begin distributing the product in the US the week of July 10th. We currently have two technicians available for support. We will be creating a quick start up sheet for the receiver and a forum for frequently asked questions. Please feel free to call us with questions at (818) 994-4074.

Thanks,
Team RC International

I took my laptop with Weatronic software and a chip full of flight data from Mick Burrell's MB339 on holiday, had lots of time to play with the Nav View programme. I have been very impressed indeed with this unit but, wow, the Nav view is absolutely incredible. One really can see just about every detail of the radio's performance (plus GPS speed and positional data) on the 2d and 3d presentations. In 2d one can even examine in minute detail (the graphs, all 20 of them, are expandable) the effects of servo positions on current draw and battery voltage as well as the receivers' RF performance. I think this system is going to explode a few myths !

This device is LIGHT years ahead of any radio receiving system previously offered to modellers and as a data recording system is totally unique and absolutely invaluable , every bit as useful as a QAR* on an airliner. A quite extraordinary advance in RC flying.

David Gladwin.
