Larry Kramer,
is that your hand I see on that woman's thigh?
Now you know that is how it always start.. and then we lose a great pilot in this hobby. How many good sticks that I have seen through the years pass by the way side by this simple little act of the hand.
Do night be drawn away by that soft, smooth skin of a beautiful woman my friend, but go and stay with the cold, hard and rough feel of those sticks that have brought so much pleasure to all of us who love those high speed, low passes in the evening light. I beg of you please don't disappear into the sunset never to be seen again do to the call of a dirty diper needing to be changed.
Alas...Somewhere, someday it will happen and you hear it first, then you might just see alittle glimps of it ...the sound ....of a turbine ...falling from a two thousand foot drop from the sky, smoke trailing it in the evening light at a heart pounding, nerve raking speed, only then will you remember...... that was me to in the days of old.[&o] I find myself in tears as I am writing this, it's to overwelming to even write on. I must stop before I short circuit myself crying all over this keyboard.......[sm=crying.gif]

Thanks for the pic of the impound Countryboy, that's me on the right working hard. I had a great time working the event and all went well.
Thanks to all the club members of the River City Radio Controllers who showed up in force to help out, it made all the jobs easier with plenty of releaf workers.
Thanks to AMT for making us feel so welcome. I look forward to next years event.

OK guys, a few more pics to add. Photo credit goes to Marcellino who was shooting with a much higher end outfit than I was. Let me know how these compare to the ones I previously posted for comparison sake. I think this is a fairly new camera for Marcellino and he is just learning the settings, etc...
Yo Countryboy......
What camera were you using for those shots.....great clarity and depth of color along with uniform exposures across each frame....looks like some of the stuff UJ and JC have been submitting on RCU.....very nice....
Tom
Tom,
I appreciate the comment, but I hardly think my pics are in the same league as JC....but I'm flattered that you think so. Are you ready for this..... how about a Kodak Easyshare DX4330 for $300.00 at Wally World. Hey John, it looks like it's time for you to upgrade your equipment. [X(]
Out of all the pics I had, not one was of the General himself. Somehow, during his hectic duty.... he did manage to get some flight time in. Wonder if Lewis has lost track of how many flights the CAI Predator has on it. One thing for sure, he probably knows it better than the back of his hand.

X-spec my email is [email protected]. The F-18a is a Yellow aircraft F-18 twin. The aircraft is owned by Jet Central, and it is powered by a Artes Rhino (36lb thrust). I think the plane weighs about 43 Lb with fuel, but i'm not really sure. This F-18 was built by a few different people ,but Dave and Cara Fusinato did most of the building. Dave,Cara Did all the paint and detailing. I installed the turbine and other odds and ends. I must say thanks to Lewis the General for all the help and time to make this plane fly,
I had so much fun at this show ,and everyone there was just so wonderful to be around. Thanks for such a warm welcome..
( LANCE) HOW MUCH FUEL DID YOU BURN?????.. every time I looked over or up lance was taxiing or flying by!! It was unbelievable.
I think I want to go out and buy a $100.000 glider and then put $8000 engines on it and fly around the country, lol. If you guys haven't seen Bob Carlton fly the glider you need to make a special trip to do so. I couldn't believe the show he put on. My friend has some real good video ,so we may have to post it soon. take care everyone. Deweyd

I would like to let everyone know how appreciative I'am of the efforts of all involved. The wonderful photos we have had the priviledge on viewing, are the efforts of pilots and spectators who attended. Ronnie Naylor and Marcelino Irwin have especially taken time to ensure that Kentucky Jets can be shared by everyone. Guys, the quality of your work speaks for itself.

RE: Kentucky Jets 2006
I would like to thank everyone who made this a great show. Lebanon is my home town and it is great to have an event like this in it. I hope to see all of you again next year at the even bigger and(if possible) better Kentucky Jets. Maybe I'll upgrade to jet power by then.

Oops. The description of Mike in the photo above should be Furloughed TOW pilot. I replaced my whining tow pilot with a pair of whining engines. He needs a T-shirt that says "Will Tow For Food"

Bob,
I personally would like to thank you for making the long trek to Kentucky Jets to entertain us all with your awesome display of showmanship. The show ranks right up there with the Kentucky Derby & the Indy 500 as a must see in this life time.
Can't wait to see what you are going to do for an encore next year !!!

The majestic Yellow Aircraft F-18 twin of Jet Central & Dewey Davenport. A most deserving winner of Pilots & Peoples choice awards.
The big Y/A F-18 has a presence that is rivaled by no other & Dewey displayed it well.
