Default New Arrival

My new baby arrived this evening!

She's 71" long and weighs in at a svelte 13.5 pounds.

Git up and go provided by BVM .91R and Viojett. Guidence by JR 10x with JR digitals on the main controls and Hitec on the rest. Legs are Robostruts, retracted by BVM. Slowing her down is also by BVM. Gear and door actuation by Ultra Precision.

Her smooth, lusterous skin is by PPG.

Kit is from Air Magic, built and painted (beautifully!) by Jeff Daly.

Can't wait for the snow to go away!

I'm a very happy camper right now!

Ozcan,

It will be at Bay of Quinte!

YellowAircraft,

See my avatar for response.

KevinM,

See below.

Gladman,

RC_MAN,

Funny you should mention that. I delivered the kit to Jeff on the 7th of April. It was delivered the 30th of December. Just short of 9 months. However, I did purchase the kit in Oct. '00....

Nice looking plane Jim!! Just a side note - the color scheme is off a CF5 that sits out at our airport ( Fulton Field ) in Kamloops. The 419 squadron was named the Moose squadron after John " Moose " Fulton who was a bomber pilot who died in World War 11. His father was the first lawyer in Kamloops who tried the infamous Billy Miner - train robber. The house that I live in was built by Fred Fulton. Moose's father. Small world eh?

Gladman,

Not sure what the scale is, and don't know if it can be converted to an A model. You'll need to check with Air Magic for that info. (I'm not an expert builder, although I can get by. This one was not built by me.)

Burt,

Bay of Quinte jet rally is usually held on the Fathers day weekend. Confirmation is posted on their web site a month or two prior. http://www.reach.net/~bqac/#Lastest

Jetset,

Perhaps we will be able to get both our jets in the air at the same time. Now that would be awsome.

Helijet,

I didn't know there was one out your way. I took the colour scheme off the example parked outside the RCAF museum at Trenton Airforce base. (See pic below. One of a roll of 24 I took.) Obviously, my jet is not true scale, but that is ok. I'm not a scale competitor. I just love the look of the f5, and this was the best way to get what I wanted. Thanks also for the squadron info. That is neat stuff about your house. For those who want to know more about the squadron, go here: http://www.airforce.forces.ca/4wing/squadron/419_e.cfm

Happy New Year everyone!

That's it! Now I remember seeing that plane at Trenton! Couldn't remember where it was!
There are some CF-5's parked at Mountainview as well. I think they are all the military grey color.

Jim,
Are you going to have the F-5 at the Stetson meeting in Jannuary, I'd love to see it there.
