Question, Does the 14 MZ Receiver work with a base loaded antenne such as what is flown on the jets that I have seen, or on IMAC planes.
The antenna wire is usually cut to a 4 inch long length and then attached to the short whip antenna. I have seen them laying parallel inside airplanes and contained with in the fuselage.
What works? And if so what is the recommended antenna?
Thanks to all who respond.

Just used one in a test plane, Q500 went fine, no problems (7 inches of stock wire) Getting ready to drop it in a R54.

I have been using a Deans base loaded antennae for almost 6 months with my G3 receiver and have not had a minutes trouble. Ground range checked before and after installation and my range was actually more with the base loaded antennae. Of course Futaba is going to tell you to use the original antennae. LIABILITY !!!! Also installing one in a Flash !!
