That's great news Stig. How about the internal construction? Every body is looking for a feedback. Is the quality OK for the price? I allready recieve the proforma invoice but haven't paid yet. For what I look seems rigth.

Hello Alejandro.

I'm looking throgh the CD right now, and there are many pictures of constuction of the model. At first impressions it looks like an easy build. (But we all know that there usually is more work than we think, don't we)
Here are some construction pictures from the CD. (I hope/think its OK to post them)

Hello Adil.

For the price, the quality is very good. The moldwork is quite light and the seem lines will not require much work. From first impressions, the parts fit together well. It may take some time to get the alignment of the wings and fin right, but other than that, I think it should be an easy build. But when I look at the work that needs to be done, and compare it to the up-price of the ARTF painted version, I would get the ARTF version next time i purchase a kit from X-tremejets.

Here's an interesting page from the instructions.

Hi Stig,

Thanks for the impressions. I have to agree with you that the ARTF may be the way to go especially after looking at your pictures of all the formers

Upgrade struts are something new from SM and I kind of like it. The Hydralic struts are real neat but not necessary if you are on a budget etc.

I look forward to some flying reports etc.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Adil

hello,
I received my rafale kit (not ARTF) and A10 ARTF today As SIG.
Quality is fantastic for teh price.
I have actually a christen diffusion rafale and AD large mirage 2000. The quality of Extreme jet is best and low price!!!

The rafale kit is really extraordinary details. No problem, it is necessary just to pay the customs (france).
Very serious packing, fast delivery by DHL, that happiness.

As Sig, i think that the ARTF is more interesting... At this price!! no question!!!

Thank you Anton!!

Hello again.

I managed to place the X-tremejets Rafale on the building table next to the Aviation Design large Rafale that I am building for a customer. Just to give an idea of the size.

Hello Sandor.

They wrote "model airplane samples" on the invoice. DHL cleared the box through customs and the lady from DHL told me there will be an invoice for $ 43 to cover the import tax. I didn't pay any VAT.

Hello,

For me in france It's TVA = 20 % and custon taxes = 4 % so 24 % ... it is normal to pay VAT.
Even with that VAT, this kit is cheaper and good quality,

best regard

Actually I'm not sure yet. If I can keep the weight down, I might fit my SimJet 1200 18lbs engine in the tail and leave the NOISY bifurcated pipe in the box. The original plan was to fit my SimJet 2300 and a straight pipe which is still my #1 option.

The Aviation Design Rafale was first on the market in 1995.

By the way. Even if you order the so called "complete kit", you will not get these parts. You need to order them as an extra when ordering the kit.

I will send an e-mail to X-tremejets and ask for them to supply at least the belkrank for the canards, as it is a special item. The other parts can be bought at my local store. (Which I also support)

Will the HS 5955 TG servo fit in the wings? Are the canards use only one servo or two?

Hi Stig, thanks for all the great information about this jet. It looks very very nice. Could you please show and or tell me how to do a single pipe setup? Or mount engine in tail? The gear looks nice and so does the hardware but I would as well like to know what hardware the kit does not include. I also support the local store but some of the hardware is not easy to find. Can you ask X-tremejets to make this more clear?

Regards,

Joe

Hello Alejandro.
A JR DS8411 should fit. Don't know the meassures of the Hitecs as I never use them.
The canards are operated by a single JR DS8411 just like on the Gripen.

Hi Joe.
Not sure yet how I am goint to mount the engine. But the pipe will be a straight pipe, since we have small problems wiht noise restrictions on some fields. (It's getting worse, actually[]) I had a single pipe on my AD Rafale as well and I made it in the same way as made on the EuroSport. It is not scale, but it is the price I have to pay for keeping the noise level down.

I sent an e-mail to X-tremejets about the hardware thing yesterday. Lets wait and see what the answer is in 2 or 3 days.

does anybody know how the f-16 looks, especially the cammo? I am going to be buying a 1/8 f-16 arf for my p-60 but i am not sure if i want to take the plunge with a company that i dont even know what the cammo scheme looks like. I really want a Skymaser f-16 with the engine in the tail but i would be willing to order from x-treme if the quality is the same.
