As yes .. the Nimrod. I worked on some of the electronics for her while I was at Marconi. T'was quite an amazing beast.

Even weeks after the project was cancelled, we were still receiving something like 500 design change requests per week. An object lesson in how NOT to control feature creep.

the nimrod is so ugly i kind of like it. the rest are just to ugly for any kind of love. woj, i just may pull this thread up again 5 years from today. also that fire burn grippen you had with the big red lips might make this list too, barry

or, is it coyete ugly, the one where you chew off the refuel line rather than take a chance of touching the jet to remove the fuel line. or maybe rodeo ugly, look at that baby for a whole eight seconds straight and you are for sure a cowboy. barry

i'll tell you what, when it was all grey, i was barely able to see the planes orientation when at distance ... with the new paint job, it was as visible as it gets

Lol.. and some of them flew very well!

IMO anything with enough power and a calculated cg can fly.. but in our mind a nice airplane flies better because it is much better to fly a nice airplane!
