Default PAYPAL for jets

HI all, just a quick question reguarding Paypal for Jet items. Can a person that uses Paypal to buy item X, after he or she receives it from the seller, can he or she turn around and call paypal to get their money back.
I got an offer from a lady that is not a RCU member and wants to buy a ducted fan engine for her husbands birthday, Scam or not, what"s your opinion.

A buyer can file a grivance with Pay Pal after a purchase has been made. Pay Pal will contact you for your side of the story and after a period of time they will make a determination as to who wins the issue. I just went through the process and I won my case, as the seller never sent what I had bought. As we speak, I am still out the money. When I sell something, I always have the money transfered into my personal account. As for the lady wanting to buy your engine, if she sends you the money then you send her the engine. Deal is done. Good Luck, Dave

Best way to have proof that you sent the item is to use a shipping method that requires the buyers signature in order for the buyer to get the item from the shipping company. And keep a copy of all waybills and receipts.

Should the buyer try to claim that they did not receive the item, you can then prove that they did.

RcPete,

Take a look at here. http://paypalsucks.com/forums/

I was introduced to this sight via a series of unfortunate events where I not only lost the product I sold but the money as well. I was fortunate it was only a couple hundred dollars but it could of been worse. A lot of scary stuff out there and pay pal ultimately will cover it's own ARSE first.

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING YOU SELL BY WAY OF PAY PAY (OR ANY OTHER METHOD) UNTIL YOU RECEIVE MONEY AND IT HAS CLEARED. PAYPAL HOLDS FUNDS. GET YOUR MONEY THEN SEND. ALWAYS GET SIGNATURE CONFIRM, RETURN REC., ANYTHING NECESSARY TO PROVE THAT THE BUYER HAS RECEIVED. IF YOU ARE BUYING, DO NOT PAY BY WAY OF PAYPAL USING E-CHECKS OR BANK PAYMENT. ALWAYS USE A CREDIT CARD. THE CC IS THE ONLY METHOD THAT GIVES YOU SOME VEHICLE OF RECOVERY. THE OTHER TWO METHODS OFFER NO WAY OF STOPPING PAYMENT OR CHARGE BACKS. PAYPAL IS REALLY A RIP-OFF IN MOST DISPUTED CASES. I USE AMEX FOR EVERY PAYMENT, HAVE HAD THREE INSTANCES OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS WHERE I HAVE HAD TO STOP A PAYMENT OR TRY TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I WAS SUCCESSFUL IN ALL THREE.
