I agree....And also this Skygate version looks to be very scale as compared to the smaller Cermark model...

I'd be interested in details of the kit too.

How RTF is it? Is there a lot of work? Is there a decent instruction manual?
What are they like to deal with?

A like the look of the German models of Skygate and Airworld but there does not seem to be a great deal of information around.

Hi guys,

After reading your posts, I thought you would be interested in some pics of the actual Viper Jet MKII. I have permission from my boss to share these with you, so here they are. We are almost finished painting it. We hope to be up and flying again by this spring. We will be painting the wings here in the next week or so, and once that is done, we can start assembling it again. We just can't wait to get flying again!!

Later,
Brandon

Brandon---Keep the pics of your progress going!! Looks very sweeeeeeeeet!!![sm=thumbs_up.gif] Please post some pics of the finished plane on the tarmac as there will probably be someone that will want to paint their model like that full scale Viperjet you posted. Please do a complete walk around if you can...Again, NICE plane!!!

Will do Kevin!! [sm=thumbs_up.gif] I will have to ask again, but I don't think there will be a problem. We just ordered a Skygate Viper to use as our static display model at the air shows we will be going to!

Later,
Brandon

Brandon---If you don't mind me asking--How much is the kit as the prices posted on the Skygate's are in Euros and include VAT (tax). How much is the shipping here to the US???

Will your bosses full scale ViperJet have tip tanks or winglets installed???---I sure wish I could be there for the roll-out party!!! It will be a good time, I'm sure!!!

Here's a shot of my Cermark ViperJet next to a couple of buddies models at a fly-in last year....And another inside of my shop receiving a pre-season inspection from a few days ago...Ya gotta treat these models just like the real thing if you expect them to last any time at all!!!

A larger version of the ViperJet from Skygate sure would look good in my hangar!!!

Can you give us a breakdown of the prices of the plane and accessories when you get the price breakdown in US dollars???

The price you came up with more than likely includes tax (VAT) which we don't have to pay here in the US---I sure wish that the euro was back down to around 85 cents to the dollar!!! If I got the Skygate ViperJet I would go with Robart landing gear and try to see if the wheels/brakes from the BVM KingCat will work..

THANKS!! Kevin

Hey Kevin,

I am not sure what cost for the kit and shipping was. I am not entirely sure, but I think Skygate donated it to use when we inquired about getting one from them. Sorry I can't help you on that one.

In regards to the full scale Viper, it will have wing tip extensions. The earlier Viper did have winglets, but the current MKII has extensions. Plans are in the works for tip tanks, but it won't be for a while yet. (I will be sure to post more pics when we are done with it so you all can see.)

Just for reference and interest, here is our web page: http://www.viper-aircraft.com/homepage.htm

Brandon---So you work for Viper Aircraft....How cool is that!!!---I've visited your site MANY times being a huge ViperJet fan as well as flying one of the Cermark Vipers.....I am frequently looking on your site for alternative paint schemes in case I decided to change mine up a bit in the future....Have you built the Skygate Viper yet???

Kevin

PS---What benefit are the wing tip extensions over the winglets???
