I have a NIB P-80 plus if you need one....
Don't know if you will be able to do a Johnny Loop with it. At the end of the day without having an afterburner there is no substitute for the sound of lots of thrust!! I would fit the biggest thing in there that you can fit. Also consider fuel consumption of a big engine running at lower power setting as opposed to a smaller one running at full power all the time. Russ gets incredible fuel economy with his P-120 running in the f-16 because its hardly working except in vertical flight.

Guys,
I was kidding when I said I was dropping a P-70 in there, I wanted to see how long it was gonna take Jimmy to try to sell me that P-80 he has

. I'm over powering this bird for sure as my builder Mr. P. is going a bit overboard reinforcing this bad boy as he's very concerned how flimsy this sled is. I'm also having him leave room for an additional 50 oz tank as Titan or P-180 is what I have in mind for the Sled ( that's right Bryce your @$$ is grass in KY )...
This is the 5/1/07 update on the Sled.

] Here we go again folks............a few years have passed, we're all a bit older and wiser and now here comes J again with yet another Russian Beast and talkin greazzy. First, who even said I was going to KY? And if for some reason you happen to see me there, please don't think things are going to go down like they did in Missouri three years ago.................. The best advice I can give you J is to have two things this time for your new threat.
A PILOT
and
A GUN
Yea..........that's right............you're going to need both of those to get you out of this one J..............I've been laying low and giving you a chance to catch your breath and fly around in relative peace and harmony for a few minutes..............however..............if I happen to show up in Kentucky or anywhere around you for that matter with something of mine................party's over man.
Remember..............a pilot and a gun J..............a pilot.....................and a gun.............

Hi Guys,
Change the subject slightly but does anyone know what shade of blue/green that fullsize MIG21 cockpit panel is painted (on the previous page). Just wondered if i have to mix it or if it's available?

Joe, it looks like just piano wire running thru a brass tube. Looks like a perfect fit. Thanks for all the pics J. One of my fav jets for sure. The motor install is a liitle funky on this jet i believe, way in the back and access thru a hatch from the bottom?? Looking forward to more work / pics. V..

you can access the turbine by the rear speedbrake opening or you would have to take the fuse apart where it splits to get to it ( not very practical ), best thing to do is get a reliable turbine so you don't have to go in there for anything
.Here some new pictures from today 5/5/07
