the easiest, and the correct way is to fill from the UAT with the overflow line from the UAT feeding the main tank which is vented.

i do the same on boomer.....just use 3rd line out uat....the overfill line...4/5 in is fine...bvm/hanson supplies alum. plug to seal off line after filling...donot use a screw/bolt it will leak causing air/flameout....kelly

It will be okay to place the vent line off of the main tank down and out the bell right?

Just put the vent out the bottom of the fuse. You can also put it out the side or the back. Most put it out the bottom using a piece of brass tube.

You can slide a line from an external tank over the brass for when you are starting and taxiing. Simply pull off the external tank before take off and you will always start your flight with a full tank.

Yes, out the belly will be fine.
I would put it off towards the side . It's makes it a lot easier to connect your overflow tank.
