Someone will probably give you a proper answer later, but as far as i know jets run on any of the above, but i dont know about Turpentine, Avtur is the aircraft industries name for Jet fuel,(aviatoin turbine fuel ?) As opposed to Avgas,(aviation Gasoline), which is aviation petrol. By the oil content, i can only assume that KC means the oil content that is naturally in these products.
I have taken 2 steps back from the screen to await the incoming flack & triple A, coming in from the boffins & BS merchants. He he. Ray.

Wikipedia....the only user editable encyclopedia on the planet.
It is a user collaborative ongoing project that anyone with internet access can contibute to. This includes uninformed self proclaimed experts and the like.
Any user can edit anything on Wikipedia that they want to. Right or wrong, it goes into the definition, and ends up being considered "gospel" by the unknowing.
Read the third paragraph of "About Wikipedia" on their front page before you consider everything you read there to be factual and absolutely correct.

Ah yes, the omniscient Harley - please give us a break. Anybody can and should read the fine print - Wikipedia is only a start. [doh] It is not going to erroneously and maliciously define kerosene as a potential thermonuclear bomb that could detonate in the wrong hands and lead TREADSTONE, the 13 year old kid and his neighbors down a path of doom! Hey Mike...lighten up! You know better than that! You must have got up on the wrong side of the rock this morning, and the altitude is getting to you.
Long time, no see.
Are you comming up to our meet this year? August 3,4,and 5 at Kalispell. We were hoping to see you last August, but you were a no-show. I understand that a couple of the other guys from Colorado are going to make it this year. Hope you can make it to.

Casting my mind back to Chemistry classes ( when Pontious was an AC1 ) the differences between Kerosene, Parafin and White Spirit ( Turpentine ) are in the refining process during "cracking" the raw material. All are basically the same but just like the difference between a two year old malt whiskey and a ten year old malt.

So no definitve answers yet....But....just as a trial thisafternoon we miXed up a Litre of "Turpintine substitue" from B&Q.....and compaired it to a new batch of Genuine AVTUR....both had the same amount of MBJII added per litre....The Specific gravity of each was identical.
Ran the Wren MW54 up on both fuels ...after flushing and purging ....alowing the turbine to cool to ambient ....4 starts.. 2 on each fuel IDENTICAL max TGT on starts ...@ idle and max PWR....
