New assembled Skymaster F-18E prototype scheme. Has has less than 8 flights with no mishaps. Skymaster retracts, scale cockpit ,Tam air fill valves, BVM air gauges, all JR recomended servos, 8611s on elevator, 8411s on flaps, 3421 on ailerons, 811 on steering. This is the "Old" (about 6 months old) Skymaster built by a professional.Very clean build. Complete RTF with new JetCat Titan and JR955.

100% scam

Is a scam alright..
Since he is locate in northern Ca. There is a big group of guys in the area.
Ask the seller to give the address for someone in the area to look at it first before buy it. That way he has no excuse beside said his rating is 100%.

I just retracted my bid, the new bidder is his shill name "bidder 3" that he was shilling my bid up!

The seller prefers Paypal. So pay him using paypal with a credit card. That way if anything bad happens all you have to do is contact your credit card company and you're out nothing. Simple

The photos in the ad are of my friend Hal's old SM 18.. The in flight shots were taken at Buttonwillow. I know because I was there. He is also using the photos Hal took when he sold it. I know he sold the bird but to who and where it went, I don't know.

Tell this seller to bring his plane to woodland on saturday, I will be there. I'll bring my camera and take some pictures for you.

If you look at the first picture you can see a real estate sign with my name on it! This jet was sold here on RCU to "Smily Jack" who does live in Sac. area but I still have the jet in my garage and am delivering it to him in June. I wish they would find a way to prosecute these scum bags.

I took the liberty of reporting this item to eBay Safe Harbor. If this is in fact suspect, eBay will cancel it and suspend the account until they can find the user. It sounds like the account got hijacked from a Phishing email. I'm glad you posted your questions about it here! This happens a lot on eBay unfortunately. With regards to anything over $500, I don't think I would trust anything I can't touch with my hands first. You did the right thing!

HOW TO AVOID A SCAMMER 101:

Scammers prey on:
1. Victims looking for the such a great deal that their Spidey sense is ignored
2. Victims who just don't know any better
3. Victims who trust too easily

Scammers are good, they make the deal look so good too. But sometimes you can call them out easily.
Common Sense tells you not to hand over a bunch of cash without verifiable proof or good references or at least having an insurable way of paying like a CC.

First step: First you act like an overzealous new guy with just enough knowledge and REALLY want the item. Sometimes, Diffuse your question with false info. (Scam the Scammer) and be polite and submissive.

Wow, sweet Jet! I've always wanted an F18. How does she fly? Stable in the air? I think there are some guys here who can probably help me fly it. wow, she looks great. I wish you had a buy it now, I'd take it for $3000, can't stand the bidding process! Is the Titan motor any good, plenty of power? And can you ship it, I just moved to Nevada but maybe too far to get it here.

You can see that he immediately asks for payment without you getting any more information or any dialog about the details/phone numbers, nothing. Yes, great, just pay...
He wants your money, that's all.

Now that you know he's a scammer, offer a safe way of paying or offer to meet in person. Note that he didn't take the $125 quick cash, he wants the big $.

I have an account with escrow.com so I just filled out the form regarding the jet and your info. In my account they will deduct the $3000 plus I added another $300 for your trouble to use the escrow system so I hope that's ok. So when I receive the jet, the $3300 will be transferred to your paypal account. Because it is such a large money deal, your protected as well and it costs you nothing. Furthermore to instantly cover your shipping costs, i'll paypal the $125 shipping amount to you so you're not out that money.
