I know this is off topic but I was wondering what field in Yuma has the most turbine activity? BTW there have been a lot of the Falcon 120 and there variants at my
field over the last few years and one of our members just did a maiden flight on his with a Jetcat P80 and I think his is about 20 lb's dry and it fly's well.

Unfortunately I do not live in Yuma any longer but when I did, I flew out of a field located by the foothills. It was a great place to fly and even though I personally never saw a turbine fly there, I know for a fact there were a few that existed. The runway was kind of short so not the best place for a fast landing, heavy jet unless you land like you are at the boat. Here is a video I made with my falcon when I lived there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4ut...7a4EhifrS310XQ

Thanks for the reply I usually get down to Yuma once a year and might try to check out their flying sites.

I bought two of these tubs from Luke and the quality is top notch. Nice job Luke....

Thanks Matt, I know people will love the tubs, I'm very pleased with the plastic myself! I pull the tubs out of .040 CORONA WHITE, it is a specially treated plastic and I can tell you know the difference! The plastic combined with my cockpit design will make your canopy hatch very rigid and durable. Share some pictures, would love to see how people are detailing the cockpit tubs!

It should be ok. Mine weighs 17 lb dry, no issues at all.

Ed, edwarda10pilot, might be persuaded to do another run if enough people want one. You can put me down for one if you decide to message him.
I would also recommend a new canopy from Park Flyer Plastics (Google them) as the originals are very brittle.

I PM'ed him but no response yet.

So I've begun to read through the wealth of info here. I've gathered that two important things to do are:

-Reinforce the gear mounts
-Use metal instead of nylon wing bolts

Anything else crucial? I found a carbon wing tube that is the same size of the aluminum one. Figure I'll use that and save an ounce.

I assume I want to use full size elevator servos on each side instead of the mini ones the booms are cut for.

I've also ordered a Jet-Munt VT80 turbine. Light and state of the art, should be a user-friendly noob jet.

I've also found a set of electric retracts with electric brakes from China for $300. A crap shoot for sure, but we will see what they are like when I get them.

Have any of your guys came up with a good electric gear and brake system that won't cost me a $1000? lol
I found these while looking on ebay:

I have these on several models with perfect results and very cheap:

I hear CYS (the factory) is making struts and wheels with electic brakes now...

Great! There seems to be a few options out there now. This airframe is pretty flexible with the gear that can be used for it.

I'm still liking this package though http://www.ebay.com/itm/JP-Electric-...484&rmvSB=true

I'm trying to fit the fitted Dreamworks fuel tank into my Falcon but I'm a bit confused. Do all of the bulkheads need to be removed to fit it in there? As is it looks too wide to even fit in the fuse.

I would say thats the earlier tank for the original Falcon120. You need this tank which only needs about 1mm to be shaved off the formers on each side.

I ended up just removing all of the bulkheads and triming them. The glue holding them in was sticky and worthless anyway. This tank was over $100 so I'll stick with this one.

How far back should the tank sit? Pictured here the rear of it is just nearly touching the spar.

as far back as to touch the main wing tube - put a small piece of Velcro, as a bumper on the tank where it touched the main wing tube .. be sure the small wing tube is in too .. so you're sure the tank clears it

Sir, I know it has been some time from the plane arriving and the young man I gave it to build it, something about a short time doing service in the sand box... the question I have is and I hope you can remember, how did you hold the canopy down... can you please reply to my email with any help and pictures are even better...

Thank you, Rocky Kranz @ [email protected]
