sorry had Brainfart.....is ok now press F5

anyway we had now lots of reports flying the velox
all where ok with the CG spot on the tube.
nose slightly down.
also we tested now the larger turbines and you need to tip over the turbine a little bit so the front is higher then the back.
much easyer negative flying , wont nose up with higher speeds.

the "tygon" from china looks more then a Noodle.
it gets so hard , you can use it as a turbine shaft...

Sandor,
Do you mean the front wing tube as the anti-rotation pin?

Is it me????

Exclusive UK dealer ???? To me that means its the only place to get one in the UK ???

ZedJet and Just Turbines may have a view on that - they are in the UK - have them on their website and have them in stock.

The 'Exclusive dealer' doesnt even have them on the website!!!

I know where I will be ordering mine from........

I got mine through Just Turbines and my mate got his through Zedjets.

Both very helpful chaps, and delivered on time. They even called me to check I had the c of g in the correct place!! Top bloke.

Very well finished Jet for the money.

Flying mine this weekend.

Good luck with your choice.

Regards

Peter

P.S

Never heard of NTY hobbies. stick with reputable names!!!! Unless perhaps NTY hobbies could shed some light on the "Sole" UK dealership????

I managed to get the control horns in today and a few little other minor jobs / fixes. I found some of the servo mounting brackets had thread cut into them that appeared to be the wrong size and screws just fall out! A little disappointing, but easily fixed. I noticed little errors in the paint job too, but for what I've paid and how well it looks at stand-off, I'm not going to be fussy.

Still have to make up my mind as to how I'm going to do the retract units. I like both ideas that Dick and Treadstone came up with - but Dicks' seems cheaper!

Thanks for posting the link to your pics Dick, some great tips there that I feel I may need to 'borrow'.

Great information Dick. Thanks.

I am trying to figure out some servo choices. Looking at using Hitec and was wondering if anyone came across ones that will not fit. Sandor's manual says something about a 5941 for Flaps. I can't find any info on a 5941.

What other servo options have fit well?

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Digitec,
Are you online in the us or overseas? I received my new Velox yesterday and the customs inspector ruined the fuse by cutting through the plastic bubble wrap and into the paint finish. then repacked the model with out putting the cardboard over thhe fuse. they just put all the parts back in the box then put the cardboard on top of everything and taped up the box.
that caused the parts to crush the front of the fuse and seperate the graphics from the epaint and it isi starting to peal off.
I cant find the number for the Miami bunch to talk to them. I am really upset about this.[>:]

Hi All,
A word to the wise. If your model arrives with yellow customs tape around the box do not open it. Take it back to the DHL office or what ever shipper delivered it then open it with one of their reps and inspect each componant for damage. The "highly trained" customs inspectors used a box cutter or some othr sharp instrument to cut through the plastic bubble wrap and cut into the paint several places on the nose and one really long gouge down the right side of the fuse. Then they did not rewrap the fuse and just piled all the parts back in the box and then placed all the protective dividers on top of everything and taped the box shut. I have talked to Wagner and he has ordered me a replacement kit. This isn't the shipper or RC Jets fault but the US Costoms inspectors fault. Just beware!![>:][>:][>:]

Sorry about your misfortune... as I wait for mine to arrive I am like a 5yr old kid at Christmas. I have tracked that jet so much it's not even funny. My wife is making fun of me. If it gets here and is in the same shape, it could be bad...[X(]

I am hoping that since the guy in Madison, AL got his that mine will arrive in Nashville before too long. The plan is to test fly down at the Pulaski airport, do you ever get down there to fly?

HI Flyboy,
Yes I get there several times a year. I am going to fly mine there as well. As soon as I get a replacement. NO better place In the south to fly. It was like Christmas to me as well. Then I opened the box and discovered a lump of coal. And I have been such a good boy too...

I received my Velox Friday fresh from the latest batch. Looks really great - the canopy fit & finish is a work of art. Fuel tank capacity just over 2 liters. Based on measured component weights, plus my Wren SuperSport and all equipment, I'm estimating an RTF dry weight of just under 19 lbs...

What servos is everyone suggesting for this plane? What will fit? And finally, what did you guys decide on the "recomended" C.G.?

Thanks!

RCAV8R ~ We should touch base before we get them out there. You may know my buddy Randy M and had an attendance at the one of the Redneck Jets in Pulaski??

I am looking to put Hitec 635's on the wings and that 5955 (I think is the number) on the elevator and 255's on the rudder. I would like some feedback from Sandor and Wagner if they think the 635's will get the job done.

Also ~ Wagner - nice plane buddy. I am impressed with the service, paint, and quality of the kit. I can wait to fly it. Lastly... thanks for throwing in that invincable force field at no charge so I don't crash it I am sure it will come in handy!

Hi,

You can use the Hitec 255 on the rudders or DS168, on the wings you can use the 645MG, 5645 or 8411 do not use the 635.
